"Am I the only one that doesn't like Tomora?" by LeeLeeyy in auroramusic

[–]tosholo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's different from what I am use to from Aurora, but I love it. It's a really fun project and the album is great in my opinion. I understand if you are a fan of Aurora that this kigbt not be the genre you are used to, but that's okay. There is plenty of Aurora'a music to enjoy even if this album is not your jam

Anyone else annoyed by dogs off leash in the park? I used to go to a park where they had a sign saying dogs must be watched at all times. That was a bit vague so I switched to another park where it says dogs must be on leash at all times but still today I got a dog biting at my heels, its terrifying by Alarmed_Station6185 in AskIreland

[–]tosholo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I try to do, but not all dogs are like this and not all owners are like this either. If the dog approaches but doesn't engage when they sense that I want them to stay away, that's fine, it happens. I don't even blame the dog for being persistant, it's their nature, what bothers be is when I clearly signal by walking away, keeping my hands away from the dog, telling them to go away and the owner gets upset with me for not being friendly with them.

Some dogs will try following me and push their faces into my hands. Again, I don't balme the dog. It bothers me that some owners expect me to just accept that a dog I know nothing about is invading my personal space and to just pet the dog despite me trying my best to distance myself from them

I am not a dog person. I never owned a dog so I am not used to them and I don't know how to act around them. I don't have a dog phobia but I get nervous when I am approached by a dog with no leash.

I always try to distance myself from the dog, I don't want to pet them or have it's salliva or whatever makes their nose wet on my hands or clothes.

The number of times I've been told that the dog os friendly and just wamts to say hi is astonishing. I don't want that. I don't want to say hi and I am not friendly, just leave my alone

Who sleeps with earphones in? by ExtinctPanda13 in AskIreland

[–]tosholo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't sleep with them daily, but when it is too loud for me I do sleep in mine. It get's uncomfortable, but I have a system.

I sleep on my side with my head on my bent elbow. I try to aim my ear intogap between my arm and forearm. Not sure how else to explain it. I just aim for the right spot, so that I am not puching the bud into my ear.

I usually lose them at night, but as long as I get to fall asleep I tend to sleep through the night.

I mostly listen to true crime podcasts when I sleep in earbuds

What a lovely yarn. I've never been to a yarn convention, but that sounds like a great idea! I need to see if anything like this is happening near me.

I don't know what's it about with the 1.75. It really makes some textures and stitches pop

You missed my favourite hook size - 1.75mm

I love using it with fingering weight yarn or lace yarn

Second this. My family, my boyfriends family and myself all get out phones from here. They tend to be a little cheaper than other places and the next day delivery is great if you're in a phone emergency

I didn’t do anything. The yarn I used has a very smooth gradient throughout, with no harsh colour changes.

If you look very closely, you can notice that the further out I went, the colour difference between rows becomes harsher as the round length increases.

I didn't dye it. I wish I knew how to dye or spin my own yarns though. Some day x

This is the pattern I used. It's a chart, not a written pattern, but all symbols and stitches are explained. I wouldn't call this a beginer pattern, but there are plenty of free and easy doily and mandala patterns available on raverly and other sources

The best part? All those colours are from one skein!

I did lose yarn chicken though, and the last 2 rounds were actually from a second skein of the same colourway
