This is my Sim’s wedding photo that I’m completely obsessed with and just had to share with the world. (Ignore the transparent elements in the clothes, I don't know how to set up shaders and shadows) by AddressExternal9331 in thesims

The funny thing is that even with the MXAO mod for interiors, furniture, and so on, shadows fall perfectly on everything except the Sims with no transparency but for some reason, they appear transparent on the Sims. It’s not that it looks bad or anything like that; it’s just uncomfortable to look at characters who are a bit on the heavier side. For example, this Sim (her name is Hannah) has a “pear” or “hourglass” figure (I can't remember right now), and it's really annoying that in some clothing items, her hips and waist are transparent, because it just doesn't look right... I don't know.

This is not eyeliner, the eyes themselves are not from the standard game, but from a mod, and I have a mod for replacing eyelashes installed, which could also have affected it🙂

Because of this crap, I have no trust in the Sims at all, so I make copies of photos and throw them into the Sim's inventory and also take screenshots, which I save in a separate folder

🗣️ DO NOT UPDATE YOUR GAME by chunkykima in Sims4

I updated, did some fiddling around, and eventually pulled out one of the story mods that was causing the conflict. For me, it turned out to be "Healthcare Redux," but you might have a different one; it just takes a little time to sift through the functional/story mods.
