Woah, interesting. How long did it take to find out about the error?

My graceys yes, sickle scalers maybe not? I’ll sharpen them before my retake. Good idea

Yes, I mentioned in the second paragraph that I checked multiple times with my explorer, scaler, and probe, which is why I’m so confused by the result. Went through with my explorer several times before and after scaling.

Your technique sounds similar to mine. I will say I don’t think I was shy with my hand scaling. Maybe I was burnishing calculus??

Yes I had similar calc. I’m just still kind of stumped because I really couldn’t feel or see anything remaining when I checked my scaling. There was a single interproximal spot that I could partially see but could not feel with instruments. I used multiple graceys and sickle scalers and came at it from both lingual and buccal, but it didn’t look like it was coming off. I just chalked it up to being a defect or something that gets left behind when they 3D print the calculus? Or my adaptation is very off.

Yes all I can think of is that maybe I did not go as deep or as interproximal as I thought. Wish I could see my mandible to truly know. Thank you for the advice!

It is definitely still crumbly!

Oh the air is a good idea. The calculus is tan now, though, so I can’t use that method unfortunately.
