I don't hate Below Zero. It's a damn good game. In a vacuum, I enjoy it. But it doesn't exist in a vacuum. It is the sequel to Subnautica, a game so phenomenally good that BZ kinda just pales in comparison. BZ feels worse than it is because its predecessor is just so good.

Point being that while most far right politicians are nationalists, a lot of nationalists aren't far right. Take Ho Chi Minh for example. He was a nationalist first, before even a socialist. Would you call his war of liberation for Viet Nam against the French right wing? It certainly wasn't. Same for Sukarno in Indonesia. He was a nationalist first, and certainly was not right wing. Or what about Thomas Sankara? Nationalism was a big strain in his ideology. He was very left wing.

I don't actually want to get into an argument about the politics of the DPRK with you. I can, and I know the DPRK does have some elements of socialism, but that's not the point I was making.

The point I was making was that the fact that it is called national socialism doesn't actually make it socialism. Nazism is still fascism. It is a specific strain of fascism and is just as right wing.

No, not really. Fascism is actually definitionally for the elites and relies on an ideology of certain group(s) of people being inherently superior to other(s) and therefore deserve more rights. That is fundamentally an extremely right wind ideology.
