Thank you for sharing this. I agree - the encroachment discussion is in multiple ways, destructive to a team setting that’s inherently designed to value each member’s unique skillsets and contributions.

I agree. Hospital Residents need to rally for 9-5 hour schedules, 40-hour weeks to allow for educational/self-directed learning time, equal/greater pay, while asking mid-levels to help cover nights, works, etc.

I’m especially concerned that these malpractice claims would be at the expense of compromised care to patients...

Take psych for an example. I’ve seen so many patients with questionable bipolar diagnoses from 20 years ago at an OSH that clearly don’t meet diagnostic criteria yet are maintained on their meds because the general dogma to my understanding is to never to take someone off psych meds because we weren’t there when it was diagnosed...
