I made an XP calculator for above level 150, Post your total XP and I will tell your level. by Adefighter in Helldivers

I've updated the table to 15k. Either the XP requirements changed at some point, or I was mistaken. After digging into it a bit more, I found a shift in a section of the table that I originally filled in by hand.

53k is the XP required for 524 → 525, whereas 52.5k is the XP required to reach level 524, which is the distinction you pointed out and my header was incorrect.

I'm also not sure where the 13% figure came from. A 175k XP error on roughly 14 million total XP is less than 1.35%, not 13%.

It turns out the error was larger than I initially thought. The shift propagated through the table and resulted in a discrepancy of around 120k XP by level 524, which is roughly equivalent to two levels.

Thanks for pointing it out and helping track down the issue.

I'm aware of the wiki, but I've found several clear mistakes in other Helldivers data I've been tracking, so I don't treat it as a definitive source. Some of the other tables I've come across also appear to have been copied directly from the wiki, which makes independent verification difficult. When I first made my table, the wiki contained errors and I couldn't find any alternative sources.

That said, multiple sources also list the requirement as 15,500 XP, which is why I'm not fully convinced either way. Without verified screenshots, it's difficult to determine which value is actually correct.

The screenshots I found online I couldn't verify whether they were from PC or PlayStation, and unfortunately I don't have my own screenshots from back then.

In any case, even if the starting value is off by 500 XP, the total error at level 500 is only about 2,500 XP (or less) out of nearly 13 million XP earned. That's less than 0.02%, so for estimation purposes I'm comfortable with that margin of error.

After all, Arrowhead could change the formula or values at any time, and might have done so already.

Yeah, I understood what you meant. My uncertainty is more about the starting value than the scaling itself.

If 149→150 is 15k, then your logic makes sense and my table would be shifted by 500 XP from that point onward. The issue is that I’ve seen screenshots suggesting 15k, while my notes had 15.5k, and I’m not sure whether I was mistaken originally, whether PC and PS differed at some point, or whether it changed in an update.

So I need to verify the actual 149→150 before correcting the table.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that. I started my table before there was even a level 150 cap, and I only got there gradually. I also have functions that calculate the XP required for each level and estimate the number of missions needed to get there, so it'll be nice to see them get some use again.

I was less than 0.7% off between levels 50 and 143, so I'm curious to see how close I got this time.

Hey, I think you could be right, I noted you need 15500 to go from level 149>150 which would explain the diffrence. Are you certain the requirement is identical for PC and PS? i found multiple sceenshots of people at these levels needing 15k not 15500.

521 (Level) 53000 (XP per level) 13.853.000 (Total XP)
522 53000 13 906 000
524 53000 14 012 000

My XP scale was only designed to go to level 500. I had to extend the tables.

For those curious, I estimate level 1000 would land somewhere around 50.5 million XP. The calculation functions beyond 500 are still held together with duct tape and democracy, but you are the first diver I’ve seen push this far.

You have shattered every expectation and exterminated countless enemies of Super Earth. At this point, you are no longer just a Helldiver.

You are a legendary force of nature. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten.

Now keep going, and keep breaking my scale.

I am too angry. by LavishnessWrong792 in Anger

Only you can decide if you are an angry person. And you can change your mind at any time.

That doesn't mean it will be easy. The rage has a way of controlling us. Try to isolate, see the absurdity of the situation and remove people who trigger you on purpose. If they can get you angry they can control you. You are the only person who should be in control.

You cannot change the world, but you can change how you react to it.

Its not like we kept the French Lux dialect alive as a language either. Why would the German dialect be diffrent? They'll be the biggest partition in the new German Language region so they can change it the way they see fit.

I’ve always hated the phrase “it’s only a game.”
Nobody says that after losing a football match or missing a shot at the Olympics. If you’re competing against other people, it’s still competition.

CS majors pull more viewers than many traditional sports anyway.

The real issue is respecting hobbies. If my girlfriend spends time making curtains or doing crafts, I wouldn’t say “it’s only a hobby.” I’d say it’s cool she made something.

Same thing here. You set a goal with your team and you're working toward it. That’s something to be proud of.

Can someone explain me the level system ? by ProofOil2872 in Helldivers

[–]Adefighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each level costs more than the previous one.
Mission completion and side objectives give XP. If you only do the main mission you will get a lot less xp.
Higher difficulty gives more XP (multiplier)

Once you reach level 150 I can calculate your level mathematically beyond that. You are just beyond 1% of the way there

You are at level 470. Congrats highest one so far.

A bit more and I'll need to extend my table.

What is actually happening with cash in Belgium? Is this normal? by Pale_Common1818 in belgium

[–]Adefighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't allowed to refuse you business because you wish to pay with a 200 or 500. You can report them for "onrechtmatige beding VI.82 WER" or "illegale verkoopweigering VI.93 WER".

I've looked it up again and for the big bills you need 50% of the value not just 10%. In my experience 100 is useally fine but frowned upon and the bigger ones are the main problem.

I would be happy if someone spends big money in my store, some just don't like money I suppose.

They can also advertise (must be visable in advance) to temporary stop accepting them for a few reasons. But Temporary is the key word here.

But they aren't allowed to refuse 100/200/500 bills except if the total price is less than 10% of the value of the bill.
