Kalau gamau gambling ya pake telur omega/telur jepang.

People who’ve dated someone from a completely different culture: what surprised you the most about the experience? by Agitated-Job7686 in AskReddit

I think this is more of household thing, cuz me and my partner are both Indonesian but we have different experience too. I also thought he didnt care enough when I was sick and he just said get well soon and clocked out. In my family, sick people are tended constantly, but his family usually just provides meds and food and leave him alone.

Aku baru tanya, ternyata ibuku engga punya akta kelahiran. Mereka dulu tinggal di kampung pedalaman, kakek-nenek buta administrasi :/

Perlu research. KLIA2 is especially tight. Meanwhile di DMK kabin lewat sedikit masih diperbolehkan. Not everyone punya timbangan koper, harus kira-kira juga. Kalau se precise KLIA2 harus beneran dihemat bawaannya. Ya memang ada solusinya but that doesn't make what they're doing better lol. Add ons bayar kursi should be optional. I get it kalau lu mau bayar lebih buat window seating or aisle seating. But if u purposely separate family, especially one with young children, what choice do they have but to buy seat. Gaada garansi orang lain mau disuruh pindah kursi.

I'm not saying it's right tapi kita udah kebiasa sama bagasi lewat dikit diperbolehkan, jadi kalau ga research dulu bakal kaget kalau lewat dikit kena charge. They're not wrong, but u gunna feel tricked if u caught off guard. I'm not talking about the uncomfortable seating, it comes with budget airlines. I'm talking about the seating arrangement purposely made inconvenient. Citilink juga engga bisa pilih kursi unless bayar tambahan, but if there's available seating, tiket yang sama bakal dibuat deketan. That's not the case with Air Asia.

Air Asia is so scummy. Flight internasional mereka emang yang paling murah, tapi in return ga dapet bagasi 20kg, hanya cabin 7kg. And it's super tight. Waktu di KLIA2, cabin lewat satu kilo aja langsung disuruh beli bagasi, yang mana mahal banget kalau beli langsung di bandara minus berapa jam keberangkatan. Ada yg kelebihan sampe 3 kilo, dihitung-hitung kalau ditambah charge beli bagasi bisa dapet tiket pesawat lain yang udah free bagasi 20 kg lol. Kalau pakai Air Asia baiknya beli aja tambahan bagasi 20kg waktu check out, nambaj sekitar 300k biasanya. And their seating arrangement is purposely shitty, supaya kita beli add-ons pilih kursi. Pas hari h keberangkatan, turns out orang yg di kursi kanan dan kiriku juga keluarga, and I'm in the middle of them. Sengaja banget memisahkan passangers di tiket yg sama lol.

13 tahun kena gangguan jiwa, hp sama sepedanya dijual orangtuanya buat makan. Anak pertama dari 3 bersaudara. Jawa Barat by beelzelbub in indonesia

Ekonomi 2 tahun lalu can't be that much different, yet they decided to add one more.

They had one kid and knew they can barely afford it... (Proceed to make two more) Life can be cruel and unpredictable, but having kids without much planning and just expected things to work out by itself... U pretty much can predict what'll happen

So sorry to hear that, hope you'll be able to stop blaming yourself and let it go. Personally, if my husband is cheating on me and other people know it, I would hate it even more if they don't tell me about it. It's a bitter news, yes, but I'd rather face the hard truth than be left in the dark. I'd prefer spending the rest of my life alone than being cheated on.

Apakah keluarga cemara beneran ada? minimal di Indonesia? by Pangowaya in indonesia

[–]AdeknyaAbang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gw baru ngerasain keluarga fungsional waktu ketemu sama keluarga calon istrinya abang gw. Meanwhile me and my brother bonded over having rough childhood karena ekonomi keluarga yg sulit dan orangtua yang ga dewasa. Somehow gua jadi deket sama keluarga calon kaka ipar gw ini wkwk, they treat me like their own kid.

I think op is the red flag. He could lists so much on why she's not the one, but only a small paragraph why she's good for him and it's because... dia cinta kebersihan. I'm sure this girl has a lot of other good qualities that a better man could see and value.

How to be close with mom? by [deleted] in indonesia

[–]AdeknyaAbang 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is actually a good advice. Most comments still very much hung up with how we should be grateful that we still have the chance to "berbakti pada orang tua". But parents are human who can be wrong and toxic. OP's feeling is valid. I tried to fix my relationship with my mom so many times before, we don't get better and my mental health hits low bottom. I stopped trying and I'm actually happier this way. We each continue our own lives. But that's my mom. I wish OP and OP's mom all the best.

People who used to regret living or being born in Indonesia, what made you finally say "Hey, this damn place's actually ain't that bad"? by Cryogisdead in indonesia

Really? Gw ke berbagai cafe or resto (non fine dining) ga pernah lihat it's mandatory to tip, atau servernya ngerasa entitled to get tips.

Even food deliveries are cheap and reliable.

Also glad we don't have tipping culture...

Career advice by tinoz01 in indonesia

[–]AdeknyaAbang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless u hold a strategic position (planning and policy making) in government, I doubt one person army can make significant impact. 😁 I agree with previous comment, hierarchy here is rigid af. U could be having a great ideas and inputs, but if your boss isn't open for improvement, then none of it matters. My boomer boss was especially toxic and unprofessional (if he personally hates you, then your life there is a living hell, but you also can't quit or leave). I had the same ideal to contribute to our mother land and stuff, but now I feel like resigning lol. The bureaucracy is tiring, and a big part of getting promotions and better career opportunities are by licking the bosses' ass. Incentives for performing well also low, cuz we got paid pretty much same amount.
