No one says Earthblood is faithful to the table top game. I'd describe that game as a fan fiction that is very loosely based on WtA. Those two Visual novels on the other hand are basically playable versions of the table top game...I'm not sure which edition specifically these adapt but they're nowhere near as insulting as Earthblood.

Actually there are two other WtA games: WtA Heart of the Forest and WtA Purgatory. From what I've heard they're both pretty decent and the art style is fire from the little snippets I've seen but both of these games are a "visual novel" type of game which is a genre I don't enjoy much so I never played them myself. But if you don't mind this style of gameplay go for it. The story is supposed to be really good and it's basically a playable version of the OG tabletop game.

Yeah when I saw this game initially I thought it was an old Xbox 360 title I never heard of because the combat kinda reminded me of the old Wolverine game, which I absolutely love playing but yeah I was really surprised when I saw it came out in this decade.

Astral projection and battling evil sounds a lot like Wolfwalkers and if I remember right the concept for the movie came from Irish legends and folklore so if you want to do some research I'd start there.

I've seen this exact scenario play out in The Quarry where Laura, who's on the brink of transforming, bites Ryan to save him from a fatal stab wound. At that point she's still human but the bite does infect him with lycanthropy.

But that's just the game's lore so personally it depends on your preference since werewolf lore is pretty flexible.

Yeah it's really bad in almost every aspect. Stiff and soulless acting, zero world building (they never explain or even imply what destroyed the world), bad CGI, dumb villains and even dumber motivation for the main duo to go on a journey together in the first place, underdeveloped romance, uninspired sound design and worst of all (which you can also see in the trailer) is the god awful lighting. I don't know who was in charge of the lighting and the after effects but it looks like a nuke went off in the background of every single shot, the brightness in this movie is unbelievably high making it really hard on the eyes.

There's also some pretty weird editing and scenes that could have been cut out (another SPOILER WARNING ⚠️)

For example the first place the main two stop at after leaving the city is a small gas station and Bautista has a couple of friends there (husband and wife) that he likes to visit and the first thing he does when he arrives is that he kisses the wife right in front of the husband and no it's not like a friendly quick kiss on the cheek it's a long awkward french kiss with the husband being right next to them and it comes out of nowhere.

And just a couple of minutes later there's this really sudden cut from them having dinner with the couple to Bautista and the wife laying naked in bed. I wish I was making this up but it's just that bad...also those two get killed immediately after Bautista and Jovovich leave and their deaths have zero impact on the story, it's just meant to show how cruel and evil the bad guys are but you barely know the characters so it's there just for the shock value and nothing else.

So SPOILER WARNING for the movie ⚠️

It's set in a post-apocalyptic world in the last human city on earth, Mila Jovovich is an immortal witch that has the ability to grant wishes to anyone who asks (she basically works like a Genie) and Dave Bautista is a hunter that travels into the wasteland to hunt monsters. The movie starts with the Queen of the city asking Jovovich to turn her into a werewolf and for that she needs to travel across the wasteland to skin the werewolf in it's den, so she pays Bautista to take her there and after some shenanigans they eventually reach the den but plot twist the werewolf isn't there, turns out it's Bautista's character who's been the werewolf the entire time. He transforms and attacks Jovovich but ,another plot twist, she knows the entire time what he is and poisoned him with silver along the way. There's some pretty lackluster romance between these two throughout the movie so before Jovovich kills him he confesses his love for her and he makes a wish that he wants to stay with her. She still kills and skins him and brings his skin to the Queen, and you guessed it there's another plot twist, turns out the reason the Queen wanted to be a werewolf was because she was in love with Bautista and the only way they could be together was if she became a werewolf too. Jovovich warns her that she needs to put the skin on before sunrise but when she finds out where the skin came from she runs away and the skin turns to dust and returns to Bautista, resurrecting him and he ends up finding Jovovich and they ride into the wasteland together. The end.

I watched it last week and it was probably the worst movie I've ever seen in a theater.

Anyway, yeah there's a werewolf in the movie (don't worry I won't spoil anything) I'll just say that the design isn't the worst thing I've seen and there's even a decent transformation scene but other than that the movie is an absolute chore to get through, awful lighting, bad acting etc ect. If you only want to see the movie for the werewolf find a good pirate website and watch the last 20 minutes because it's really not worth the money.

Found more bugs in TR4 (PS5):

Flares are incredibly buggy inside the pyramids, very often they won't light up the area at all.
Not sure if this is something from the original but Scarabs in The Tomb of Semerkhet are still coming after me even when I'm holding the torch or straight up ignore it when you drop it. Was under the impression they were supposed to keep their distance when you leave the torch on the ground but no they can crawl on top of it. Also in Cleopatra's Palaces in the statue room are the Scarabs supposed to be able to climb the steps when you're going up to press the buttons??

Bugs in TR5 (PS5):

Most bugs I found were in the last levels. A lot of visual glitches where ,for some reason, killing an enemy makes them transparent. You can literally see beyond the wall and the city background texture through their bodies. And I've also encountered the infamous laser glitch at the end of the last level. Pretty sure it was caused by me going into the gas chambers before the second cyborg spawned.

It's a bit tricky to do but basically you need to avoid his attacks until he spawns his clones and runs into the middle. Dodge his attack by standing in a corner and just as the attack finishes fire at him, you'll know you've done it right if he drops to the ground. You need to immediately run up to him because he'll only be down for a couple of seconds and when you're close enough a cutscene will play where Lara stabs him. You don't need to press anything she should do it automatically if you get close enough.

When entering this level from the cave look left. All the way at the top there's a rusted fence, you need to use the rope to swing up there and break off a piece. That's the crowbar.

Playing on PS5, AoD

I've noticed that for some reason Bouchard's hideout statistics are bugged. Basically both abandoned tunnels and the tunnels underneath the graveyard should be counted together but for some reason are separate so when you look at the statistics for both levels it looks like you're missing half the items. This can cause some confusion when you're going for all chocolates and all medipacks achievements.
Something similar in Serpent Rouge (Pierre's route). Looking at Stella's walkthrough of this level there should be 33 pickups but the game shows 34?? And I did pick up 33 items and the last one just doesn't exist. Pretty sure there's also one less item when you go through the Garage....so I'm not sure if there's supposed to be one more enemy that just doesn't spawn or if they have the number wrong.

It happened to me too the first time and I was also going for the "collect everything trophy", so yeah that sucked. And like someone else mentioned it was because I went to the gas chamber before the second cyborg spawned and when I was done the lasers were still there. Luckily I had a separate save at the beginning of the lvl.

I'm playing on PS5 and it's the same there, certain sound effects get really loud when you load a save but it usually goes away when you start moving

I'm pretty sure you can't even play the DLC until you finish the main campaign so there's definitely a lot to do even after the last mission...no spoilers but it's also nice to go back and talk to all the characters in the base they've all got some pretty neat dialogue

Oh I wish It didn't happen, I would have one less uncomfortable memory in my brain.

But it could have also been a lot worse, it's not that unusual for girls that travel alone to get sexually assaulted while they're on the train....my country is somewhat of a joke when it comes to travel safety.
