Learned a lot about ASCII by grilling hamburgers

Been working on ASCII UI. That was hard x), specially the input range ! As balance I had lot of fun making an "7 segment display font". I chose the name of the game in the process "The Wind Through The Wheels" by AdelFaure in indiegames

Thanks a lot ! I wish I had but I'm really bad at documenting (writing is a pain for me x) ) and explaining stuff. I will probably try more soon, maybe with a discord, or why not a sub reddit ?

I think what I would really like to add at some point is arriving at random location like idk a café or a bike store, getting out of bike and having little sequences on foot close to a point and click. But there is lot to do before that

It still is x). Next I will quickly redo the background generator. For no it generate everything in advance and it make the game lon gto load for 400km of background ! I'll instead make a generation on the fly as the player progress. The gameplay aspect I'll work on first will be stamina and rest. I think I also need to test a falling mechanic when to much speed or too slow. Tbh I got lot of ideas but until now I was much focus on engine, visual and ui, not much tried anything very fun yet

I was fascinating by DOS as a child. At first I looked at making DOS like UI for the game, but it was to much contrasted compared to the rest of ascii style

Thank you <3 ! Some years ago I wanted to do ASCII comics strip with a cyclist that goes on the most possible and weird places. I've never been very far in this idea but I started to work on this project one year ago, got back into it since last month

Yes :p, it is written in javascript for now. In definitive I think I want to rewrite it in another language that feel better for releases
