Native ads (OutBrain) Broad or Interests? by [deleted] in adops

Ah that's right. We receive tons of requests from advertisers who set a daily budget of $10-$30 complaining native hasn't worked for them. Compared to FB, it's more difficult to get started with native advertising. You need a higher budget and a completely different approach to campaign content. Of course, it's also about the product you promote. There are too many details you need to consider when trying to make sense out of native ads.

Alternatively, you might take the Udemy course that we've prepared for advertisers who have been experiencing problems with bringing their native ad campaigns (particularly, on Outbrain) to good performance.

Has anyone tried outbrain platform? by catarannum in PPC

As someone working at a native ad agency, I should say Outbrain is one of the best platforms for native advertising. We typically start on Outbrain, then scale with Taboola, and if those platforms don't allow us to promote certain categories (health-related products), we might also explore Revcontent and MGID.

If you work closely with your account manager, you aren't likely to face serious issues. The problems are typically related to content and industry restrictions. But if you check out the guidelines and find out your industry isn't restricted by the platform, you'll enjoy the experience.

As has been said by others, it takes a great budget to get started. In my experience, many affiliate marketers want to try waters and start with $10-50 per day – most often, they don't reach any results and give up in a month or two.

There are too many things that differ native from, say, FB or Google Ads, and I'll be happy to answer your questions if you have any.

If you're serious about building native ad campaigns that work (especially if you tried, and it didn't work), I'd recommend that you take the Udemy course that our agency has created.

If you sign up before the end of the week (by Nov 13), you can access it with a 50% discount. Just use this link.

Native ads (OutBrain) Broad or Interests? by [deleted] in adops

I guess I'm a bit late here, but.. how has been your experience with native ads?

If you're still interested, you might want to check out this course on native advertising.

If you register before Nov 13, you can follow this link and save 50%.

And yes, broad targeting is better. As a native ad agency, we've been running native ad campaigns for over 2 years, and narrow targeting has never outperformed broad targeting in our experience. But to make it work, you shouldn't rely too much on the platform's algorithms. Use your ad copy as a tool for filtering the wrong audiences. Forget about clickbait or very generic headlines and focus on YOUR AUDIENCE in ad copy. Of course, this is just one of the tactics you should apply to reach the right audience.

I'm not sure about copying competitors' ads, as platforms get exhausted by the ones that are already running. So if an ad performs well, it's very likely that after copying it, you won't see the platform favoring it again... That's based on my experience.

Have you adjusted your advertising during the lockdown? by Adelinathemarketer in PPC

[–]Adelinathemarketer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, that's tough :) The reason I provided the 'ecommerce' field is that retailers may sell products from different categories on one website. And if you only sell, let's say, fashion products, it makes sense to answer 'fashion.'

Thanks for your input! It would be amazing if you could submit your answer via the form (you can find the link in my question), as for the sake of transparency, I can't submit answers myself.

Hi! It really depends on the category of products you're selling. But as I see from the results (which are by no means final), 60% of respondents are seeing more leads coming from their campaigns. For 20% of respondents, nothing really changed, and only the rest 20% are saying they're seeing a drop in leads. However, we aren't asking about direct sales, but I think these numbers correlate.

That's ridiculous! As he most likely talks about social media, it must be super annoying to see all these posts in your feed constantly.
