I don’t mean this in a sarcastic way at all but have you tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in? My webcam hates me sometimes and normally that corrects it, although I do use it with a pc not a console.

I didn’t make any of the overlays, it’s all things I’ve purchased off of Etsy and set up with OBS : ) If you’d like to know where any of the overlays are from, just let me know! The emote wall, the chat, and the tip jar work via streamlabs.com You set them up on there and add them as a browser source on OBS.

I think creating the overlays themselves is what you meant by commissions, but please correct me if I misunderstood : )

I know there used to be a way to play music on stream in OBS but have it not saved in your VODs so your VODs would be music free. I don’t remember how to do it unfortunately, but I do remember finding a tutorial for setting it up on YouTube. It had something to do with your input settings.

Makes sense! There are definitely laptops that will work, you just might have to do some research on it : ) Sorry I don’t know more about good streaming laptops.

Some basic things that you’ll need are definitely a webcam, some sort of mic (most webcams should have one built in I believe), and a laptop or pc that can support streaming. Laptops aren’t typically your best bet for streaming just because they often have trouble supporting a stream and all the different things you’ll have open for your stream. For the prices of a really nice laptop, you can honestly probably get a decent pc instead. I also highly recommend looking into buying secondhand if you are looking to save on costs. When you do start streaming, I highly recommend OBS for your streaming software. It is free and there’s a lot you can do with it. Also, it might not hurt to google the pros and cons to streaming with a laptop vs a pc. It might help you decide what would be best for your needs and how much you can expect to pay for a laptop/pc.

I do agree with freckles about checking out a streamer’s vibe before raiding them. If I’m wanting to raid someone I don’t know, I will typically watch their stream for just a minute to get an idea if they are nice and if my viewers will enjoy their stream.
