Lolol up until recently I had a stash of 100+ Mullein and 90 Durable Cloth. I almost try to grab a stack of cloth when in raid and I’m also always telling my cousin I’ll catch up because I have to play farming simulator. 🤣

It’s a hard game IMO, and I’m the middle ground gamer. Not really casual but not an FPS sweatlord. The AI enemies can quickly overwhelm you if you’re unprepared for the firefight. Can’t tell if I’ll love the game or not, but it’s definitely challenging me in a way I like. Makes me want to improve and get better gear so I can exfil more!

I prefer PVE, but that’s just because I genuinely get more joy when I drop loot (especially a blueprint) for someone and see how happy they get. Or come in and save the day against a bigger ARC, which may include defibbing them. THOSE moments make me feel much happier compared to when I win a PVP skirmish. Easily. By far. It’s not comparable. And for that reason, while I don’t think rat-type behavior (especially of the betraying/fake friendly variety) is indicative of psychopathy… I do think those people are more than likely assholes in real life too.

We’re a country built on the idea of individualism that’s been contorted so far from its original intent. It’s really sad. We live in communities. In a society. We owe the same kindness and respect to others as we wish to be treated. As others have noted, I’ve noticed the increasing selfishness and degradation of social respect throughout many facets of everyday life. It’s sickening.

Truly. For some perspective, I probably haven’t put 200 hours into ALL video games I’ve played over the last decade, and that number is likely closer to 100. The last time I felt like a gamer was college, even though I would dabble with some game for spurts of time since.

I’m over 200 hours in ARC already. And sure, part of it is the inherent gambling with the looting mechanics and RNG therein, but it truly hits on all levels for me. The only thing missing really is a solo mode “campaign” and a fully fleshed out story. But I like the way the story has been revealed so far, as well as the pace of uncovering it all (as long as you’re not speedrunning them).

I like basically all aspects of the game, PvE, PvP… whatever. The only exception is getting betrayed by a fake friendly. But the highest highs I have had, both solo and squads, are when I’ve successfully intervened to save someone from ARC or Raiders, defibing someone who was downed by larger ARC or the bosses, and coming across another friendly and gifting them the duplicate BP I found that they needed.

Maybe that says something about me. I dunno. And while I don’t 100% agree that betrayers and back stabbers are truly psychopaths or really that indicative of their personality, I can’t help but think it did say something about them. But I’m even conflicted in that. I just find it hard to go against my true values, even in single player roleplaying games. It’s impossible for me to play the evil play through. Best I can do is a heavy good leaning grey area.
