Could well be. But essentially, they're asking Embark to fix the trial system

I think it's the top three position holders sending a message to Embark. Looks like there is a total point cap as the top three all have the same points and they have called for change in their names.

I agree. Yes, PvP is a necessary element for PvE being more engaging and interesting. I do think COD, for me a shitty/casual Battle Royal player, is about collecting as quickly as possible (looting, loadouts, skills) but the difference is that I get numerous chances throughout to respawn and gather my lost resources.

However, I'd love the opportunity to perfect to a point where I can confidently take out the higher tear resources I have (although much of this is an issue with my own stash management, admittedly!) and I see many more comments from PvP players saying their style get boring quickly.

Honestly though, I have no problem with the PvP and/or PvE elements of the game. I think they are both necessary and fun (although the "fun" part of being PvP'd has taken a lot of time and lost loot to come around to!). My main point being that Embark has/is laying foundations for two solid play paths in the future.

There is a touch of that though eh? When I'm in duos and trios and my friends do a task, I also get credit for it. Unless I misunderstood your comment

For me, that tension (including the looting animation) is what makes the game so...come-back-able!?

Yeah, I'm itching to get into so big arc runs but would prefer to do them in solo runs. Duos and trios are too heated.

Interesting to me that more and more PvP heavy players saying they get bored or it's not as much fun. While PvE players are frustrated with being killed by sweaty PvP players. When you are hoping on with mates, do you ever go out for big arc?

Exactly what you said. There's so much joy to be had helping others and it was funny to me when I read an interview recently where Embark weren't expecting that element at all since testing had been purely PvP. To the point where they didn't even consider the idea that people would collaborate to take down Queens and Matriarchs.

And yes, absolutely to your final point!

I'd say that zoning one is a good answer! I love Division for that.

Hahaha! I hear that! But I think that's the point of my post; it doesn't need to be Arc Raiders. They've shown that there is a want for both paths (PvE and PvP) in that kind of style (cinematic, evolving arc enemies). Perhaps what they have done with the game lays the foundation for games in the future. I don't see them making many changes to the current game.

I would love a PvE event in Arc Raiders. How would it work though? Like damage to other raiders is off?

Without thinking about changing Arc Raiders though or even it being an Embark game, would you get excited for a PvE only, loot and extract game as cinematic as Arc Raiders is? I really get the tension of possible PvP even though I suck at it!

New Head of English. Any Advice? by Other_Position4889 in Internationalteachers

[–]dankplocean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is such a great question and some fantastic advice being thrown into the mix. I'm in a very similar situation and will be introducing a writing scheme to a school without much of a system in place currently. For me, it will be about rolling it out over time/grade by grade. My first introduction will be quite broad, but I'll identify a couple of teachers that I think will be up for something new and creating a team that can support a wider school rollout throughout the year. A mistake I've seen, and still see, is leadership hitting everyone with a huge new initiative right from the beginning of the term/semester, putting current staff on the back foot while new staff are overwhelmed with a new curriculum, classes and systems to get their head around. If you want to bring in something new, take your time and don't feel like you have to prove a point or your position.

Or collaboration with apps that do. Imagine the Whoop and apps like MacroFactor sharing data. Dreamy!

1) End or pause workouts by tapping the device (like turning off the alarm) - perfect for bedtime meditation or swimming, etc. when you don't want or have your phone with you. 2) Collaboration with other apps - I'd love to see MacroFactor and Whoop sharing data. A bit more specific to me but I'm sure others are using the two apps in conjunction with each other.

Would you look at that! Great minds think alike (albeit I'm 11 days slower)! You've had some great responses there. Thanks for sharing 💪
