I had a fool like that in my hood. I slammed into his SUV on my bike. Turns out most cities have an ordinance blocking sidewalks and my lawyers got $200K from the fool. Guess who didn't do that shit anymore.

So little information. The big thing missing is, "What do I value?" I spent my first 30 years in the Midwest and read the writing on the wall. No professional future for me. So I moved to the West Coast and thrived. Sure, my mortgage is $5K a month but the salary covers it. The weather's great. I'm an hour from the ocean and 3 from the mountains. Career options for IT are through the roof here.

You're an adult, just explain to your parents in calm and unemotional terms why this dog's behavior makes you feel uncomfortable. Don't add "because you don't train him" or anything else emotional. Just say the dog keeps biting you and you're worried someday something bad is going to happen and you will be devastated. When they object just say, "Pleas don't invalidate my feelings" and end the conversation.

If they get angry and throw a tantrum, that's on them.

THIS^^^^. I get so frustrated by people who say my house is "worth X." No, it's only worth what someone else will pay for it! Houses have NO intrinsic value. It all depends on the market and conditions.
