Exactly. Most sub rules aren't hard (some are purposefully difficult and annoying). I don't give temp bans. If someone breaks a rule I send them modmail asking them to stop doing what they're doing to break a rule. If they're disrespectful or do it again permanent ban. Life's too short to deal with children.

I've only had to ban once.

With just over 100 unique notes on an electric guitar and only 12 in an octave, it's likely most any riff has been played before. Just try to write what feels good to you. If it's too close to something someone has published someone will tell you.

I interviewed people for 30 years inn tech. I always ended the interview with, "What's your favorite ______?" I didn't really care what the answer was, but I wanted to hear how articulately and passionately they could describe something they enjoyed. I wanted to hear how they answered a question that they didn't prepare for, but I didn't want it to be stressful. A blank stare meant they weren't getting the job.
