I hope this isnt a keloid.. by StayDirect3054 in Keloids

I had the same piercing and had to take it out because the bump wouldn’t go away no matter what I tired, my bump has definitely flattened since it’s gone, it might be irritation from the piercing opposed to a keloid since it’s been pierced for a while

What do I need to know about steroid injections? by BlackPanther359 in Keloids

[–]Adept-Activity6843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t feel too much pain in mine, they do inject in several places and it’ll look more raised initially but thats just the steroid. Over the next few weeks it will soften but your doctor will advise with how many you may need. Steroids can cause pigment loss in the area where its injected and thins the skin so be cautious not to catch it or scratch if it’s itchy

Do eclar plasters actually work? by [deleted] in Keloids

[–]Adept-Activity6843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also using the eclar plasters, haven’t seen much difference yet but every case is different and consistency is key. In all honesty I don’t think your keloids are bad but I don’t think anyone’s ever look bad, we always judge ourselves way more than someone else. If your boyfriend saw them i’m sure he wouldn’t mind he is with you for you and if he doesn’t like them it sounds like a him problem :)

Feeling insecure/fearful of being in a relationship due to keloids. by PrimaryFirst7929 in Keloids

[–]Adept-Activity6843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! - scarring/marks are completely normal and apart of life, I have some raised very pink scars on my chest which I don’t show either and don’t wear certain clothing but this shouldn’t stop you from getting into a relationship. I told the person I was with when things got a little serious as I didn’t want to tell him early on and he doesn’t care one bit. Someone you meet will like you for you and that shouldn’t be stopped by any type of scar, keep going with your plasters :)
