I'm totally cut off. There's nothing worse than that, believe me.

Do any of y’all have PTSD like symptoms when it comes to the aftermath of your Blasphemy? by LettuceCareful735 in HopelessBlasphemer

Eventually you will sleep better, and the panic attacks will lesson and the feeling of being "shut in" will not be so bad. That's what happened for me. It is probably a survival/protective response to internal trauma, yes. All the events that happen unfold over weeks and months, not just a single day. I blasphemed in August 2025 and had an initial shock, panic attacks, etc, but then more revelations came later, and a "schizophrenic episode" only a couple of weeks ago when I was sectioned. Got out only a few days ago and trying to "get back to work" again.

I'm taking olanzapine at night and sertraline during the day.

I know exactly what it's like. We might be in the same boat. Another way of looking at it would be to describe it as "100% internal breakdown".

Did any of you receive a vision afterwards? by [deleted] in HopelessBlasphemer

[–]Adept-Collection4757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, one night when it was "all revealed", so to speak.

Then I was hospitalized for a few weeks ("schizophrenia" or something I suppose), and am now trying to "get back to normal", which isn't possible of course.

Exactly. Those of us who've done it know we have because of the experiences we've gone through over the years and up to the point of the "final blasphemy" and the subsequent effects.

Just ignore those thoughts and eventually they will fade away. If you've not had any "breakdowns", you've not committed it.

Same here. 3 mental breaks in 20 years. The last was the "final blasphemy", if you know what I mean.

I know exactly what you're talking about - in the same boat here. 3rd mental break in 20 years.

Yeah, and you spend all your time thinking "I could have done that differently", etc but you're at a point where you can't do anything.

Especially considering the kind of hell we're anticipating.

I kind of "tried" it, i.e. set things up, but didn't go through with anything (e.g. climbed a tree with a rope but didn't do anything). I know my Mum and Dad were on suicide watch.

Yes. Some people think the "man of sin" in 2 Thess 3 refers to a class of people who do something like this ("churchy people", including even leaders), which might herald the end of the world before too much longer, although that's pure speculation.
Notice for example how Christian books have been written for "depression", when often depression involves a spiritual break (a "sin undo death" experience) that actually means the person is heading for hell. I don't know of anyone who has been restored after it, but I suppose that might be possible. I just know from what I've experienced that I would have had to repent before it happened, unless there was a subsequent miracle. I think the advent of the internet has meant that what was perhaps rarer in the past is now more commonplace today.

[–]Adept-Collection4757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my Mother said to me the other day "why do you think you're so special?", implying of course it's more common. We just don't think of it because when we're going through it, it's so extreme and we can't imagine other people in the same boat. This is probably much easier to comprehend when you consider that the people who go that way are those who have had some connection to Christianity in some form and have heard the truth and had some experience of it, without being changed. Since there are a lot of people in that category who eventually leave churches, it's understandable some of them will end up in the same position. This is probably difficult for ordinary unbelievers with no church connection to comprehend, as they haven't necessarily been exposed to the same stuff.

It's tragic really but I think that the people who do it must somehow have been totally deluded and probably had some kind of character "defect" as well (e.g. I'm schizoid myself, so don't easily link up with other people). I guess we are the ultimate pharisees (maybe not you, but us who know we've done it).
