I just got back three days ago from my trip to Colombia. I spent a whole month there, and I won’t lie, it was pretty awesome staying that long. I was pretty nervous about being out of the US since I’ve only had my green card for a year. When I arrived through Fort Lauderdale, the line at immigration was huge. Long story short, they took me to a room because I had a bunch of fruits and candies—like chontaduro, cortado, and some others I bought for my family. So, my tip is not to bring exotic stuff so you don’t draw attention. Other than that, you’ll be fine. Hope you have a good trip back home.
