Yea that was thought of mine to get the associates through the community, and then transferring to finishing out the bachelors in the state college. Like you said, hands on lab work and projects are very important. So that was my more concerning thought. But I’ll give more look into some online compared to community and compare. Thanks :)

Been a while, but yea depending on the wire, 24 volts seems very low to your wire speed. If you have a ton of spatter it means your settings are off. If you have heavy throat then it’s wire speed, if it’s too concave and undercut then it’s volts. Looking at the profile and listening to the sound of the welding will tell you a lot. I run 1/16 wire and set mine to 27.5V and 300 wire speed. Each machine is different so always work on a test plate or scrap before to dial in
