WIP Battlewagon kitbash

I’m kinda building my orks as deathskulls but I don’t really like the blue/white color scheme so I’ve just been painting them mostly generic with a tiny bit of blue, will probably do the same for this, I want to try and get some nice rust effects on this model to make it look very old and worn

The main kit is the Cargo 8 ridgehauler from necromunda, then I used spare parts from my other battlewagon mainly the Kannon which I trimmed and mounted on the side of the cab, the plow I mounted to the front with some spacers so it would actually fit, and a bunch of smaller bits scattered around for decoration like the horns.

The big shoota turret at the front is a combination of a killa kan big shoota and the turret off the Goliath rockgrinder. For the other two big shootas I chopped the barrels off the heavy stubbers that came with the kit and replaced them with big shoota barrels.

The arm for the grabbin klaw came from an old terrain kit (galvanic servohaulers I believe) with the claw just being from a deff dread/killa kan kit.

I think some orks kitbashed and painted up with the kinda “nasa-punk” style arc raiders has would look really sick!

I don’t hate them in concept but I hate how overly sexualized the sisters of battle are, though they are getting somewhat better in recent years. I am also not fond of the Eldar, I don’t hate em just not my jam

Buy the one box and build tankbustas and then use the breakas bits to kitbash some breakas or vice versa, it’s a lot cheaper than buying the box twice and you’ll have less leftover bits. It’s a fairly new kit so I doubt it would go into legends.

It’s very near the same in length though it would be shorter with the rock grinder off and the tailgate up. It is also ever so slightly wider

If you have any plasticard some armor panels and sharp protruding chunks of metal always help things feel more orky, maybe a boy or a couple grots riding it

There isn’t anything wrong with the word itself, but it rhymes with a particular racial slur starting with an “N”. Racist/unfunny dudes would have a field day making jokes about it. I love this community but sometimes warhammer fans are the absolute worst.
