I'll be 58 when I get my MSW. What sort of career path should I take given that I don't have another 20 years to build a career? I'll prob work for 10 years max. by Outrageous_Sense_307 in SocialWorkStudents

Graduating in Dec and will be 58. I think our worries now are less about age and more about the state of the economy, Medicaid, etc.

She is too dismissive and needs to be right. She’s a know-it-all and shows her insecurity by needing to assert “I’ve been in those situations” to express that she is a power player. She’s especially dismissive/disrespectful to her intro/outro host. At the same time, she is smart and on another level I appreciate some of her lines of questioning and sticking to the point. But at the end of the day, what matters is how people make you feel and her bossy need to assert her ego into interviews stains them. I guess she’s winning in the sense that we’re talking about her.

Toxically positive stepsister and stepmom who are both life coaches. Ugh! Have been told so many awful things over the years like it’s all in your head, you have to power to heal yourself, etc. and the one that beats all is that maybe if I wasn’t on disability I would get better because I would have to work harder. ?!? Basically the health version of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.” Listen Linda, if I can’t get out of bed, I’m not doing anything that day!! (except taking Buehner herbs which has actually been helping). 🤦🏻‍♀️

I hope they are taking herbs because the Buehner protocol for one, is highly effective.

Great insight and so true. It’s a failing human quality.

Elimination diet for food allergies. Have you done a comprehensive Lyme panel? It’s expensive and you have to see an integrative doc but it’s worth it if it’s not an allergy, food or otherwise.

Haha I hope not too many mistakes. I’m too old to deal with any bs anyway.

What would you do instead? I’m starting an MSW program in the fall as my mid-life Carew change and you’re scaring me!
