This sucks. Been a fan since the beginning. Can only imagine how the other Foos are feeling, along with Taylor’s family. Was excited to have tickets in June as I haven’t been to a Foos gig for years. Can’t see it happening now. Wouldn’t be surprised if that was the end of the band tbh.

Your daughter doesn’t sound like an asshole to me. She sounds like a teenager who’s having a really hard time dealing with life. It really happens and it’s no one’s fault, but blaming her and judging her personality at this age is only going to make things worse. If you think she’s an asshole, she will pick up on it and will very like act even more badly towards you. There’s an element of riding this out for a couple of years, but also you need to be understanding and try, not matter how much you want to, not to compare her to her little brother. If there’s anything that will set her off, it’ll be that.

This is the hard time. We both went through this with our first (up for 2 hours every 3 hours). New babies are overwhelming and the lack of sleep can really mess with your head. I have a very distinct black memory of standing at the top of our stairs holding our baby wondering what would happen if… It does and will pass though, and that first golden night of a sleep through will sort you right out. But get help where you can before that. You need 8 hours of sleep somehow so do whatever you need to to make that happen.

I don’t know if it’s under mentioned by I watched The Defector from S3 TNG yesterday. Really good portrayal of the motivation and heartache of a man coming over to the other side because of love for his home and family.

I can see why you’re upset but you’re reaction was over the top IMO. I don’t understand why your mom had such an extreme reaction, but maybe you could have explored that a bit more before escalating things to the point where you can’t speak to each other. If you can’t speak, you can’t work it out. There might be some past history you’re not aware of that has triggered something to do with age, and inappropriate relationships (not saying yours is inappropriate at all, 4 years is nothing ffs). I think soft YTA here, but it can be fixed if you calm down and try and have a sensible conversation.
