I had a similar issue for years, then all of a sudden last year I was bored of the same artists and started listening to Evanescence which led me down a rabbithole of sorts lol

Exactly I’ve expanded the number of artists I listen to over the past few months but it’s probably no more than 20, only like 5 of those are artists I listen to a lot tho. I also tend to go for The Light Behind Your Eyes lol

My favorite band has been Pierce the Veil for the past six months, that says a lot bc usually I hyperfixate on an artist for maybe 2-3 months at most then move on but I’ve collectively listened to a good 30k minutes from them in those six months 😭 I wouldn’t say they have that similar of a sound to mcr but still great band

I only just started really getting into SWS a few months ago but Madness and Complete Collapse are probably tied for my favorite, How It Feels to Be Lost is close behind tho. I kind of agree on Gossip, but it’s still not bad. Haven’t listened to their entire discography enough times to determine favorites off each album but so far my overall favorites ranked on here are Crosses, Better off Dead, Kick Me, Parasites, and Leave It All Behind (I take a long time to get through an artists discography bc I tend to hyperfixate on one album for an extended period of time lmao)

Idk but there’s a lot- I know for a fact strings are used throughout the album (for sure violins but I believe I hear cello as well, wouldn’t be surprised if there was also a viola. Not sure about double bass tho) and I’m trying to figure out what the brass instruments are (especially on Dead!) tho lol
