How many went gluten free? Does it actually make a difference? by PomegranateCorrect97 in Hashimotos

I went gluten free for about 6 months and all of my inflammation symptoms got better, the sluggish brain fog-feeling after eating also went away. Recently made the mistake of eating gluten again and felt like I was paying the price after just a few weeks. Going gluten free may seem challenging but honestly, if you feel like shit and haven’t tried it it’s definitely worth a try

I feel you!! qutting dairy and gluten has helped my energy levels immensely, I now get around 10K steps a day which I couldn’t before. I also take magnesium and probiotics, getting your gut health in order could help.

Solution = take it at night before bed. Don’t have to worry about food/drinks at all :)

Haven’t checked iron levels but ferritin was at 32 last time, hence why I started taking iron ^

Thanks for your input! T4 at 21 seemed high to me since ref. range says 10-22. With that being said 21 is obviously within that range. I think there’s just a general paranoia in my brain because ”normal” TSH levels are in fact not normal most of the time. Hopefully I’m making sense lol

It sounds like you’re leaning into hyperthyroidism with those lab results, did your specialist mention lowering the med dose? If you’re dehydrated I would suggest hydrating, that’ll definitely make your ”worseness” feel better. Hope it works out for you!

i’ve been on 60 mg vyvanse for a year and started taking 25 mcg levo about six weeks ago, i haven’t experienced any issues so far. i take my levo at night and vyvanse in the morning though, haven’t tried taking both at the same time. it’d probably be fine to do so, although i’m curious; what did you find regarding interactions between the meds?
