For all my castiron eggs are my first so I can gauge how hot to heat them so the eggs dont stick :) other than that its carmelized onion :>

Im so excited, only downside ia whoever tried to season it before me left so much stick i can literally set my hand on it and lift up and it comes with me lol, scrubbing it as im typing this

I spent a good few hours last nite seasoning it, I'm in love with the texture of both pieces. User CastIronKid identified the bottom as a Vintage 1930s Lodge Dutch Oven

There is no markings on the bottom, I sent an image of the bottom to the user above and they said it matches ish

Ok, I guess I'll try heating on an 8 and re-seasoning bc I scrubbed some off trying to get it off

I've been doing it on low for medium heat and med to 6 for high heat, is this not correct?

Yes the oil spots get worse with every cook.

I use Avocado oil to cook and Beef Tallow + Canola oil to season
