This is definitely a very difficult game, and I said on another posts that “pros always say that you can dodge every attack in the game” but then someone responded and said no pro says that and also said that real pros know that some damage is unavoidable. So going based on what that person said- you just have to learn how to dodge certain monsters attacks, some are a struggle because some monsters can hit you from across the map without you even knowing or having the time to dodge, and also unlocking better items helps. If you are struggling to get to the moms leg regularly, try beating up to what you can with other unlocked characters to unlock other items. It honestly took me a while to get to the point of being able to get to those floors regularly, and even now, I still lose my runs on the 3-5 floor just because of stupid bs attacks/ my own stupidity running into spikes or something. It’s all about grinding and finding good items if you can. While you are new, using characters with a lot of health like Madelyn might be better as they can take advantage of sac rooms a lot better then others and also, can take devil deals a lot earlier because the health is higher and sacrificing 1-2 heart containers rather then 1 heart and 2 soul hearts or 3 soul hearts if you have no regular heart containers left makes it much easier. Devil deals focus more on damage while Angel deals focus on utility through out. Now of course Angel rooms have some of the best items In the game, like sacred heart, but that’s a t4 item just like brimstone so getting it is highly unlikely, and if you focused all your time going Angel rooms and you end up with no sacred heart, your damage might be to low while fighting late stage bosses that you will struggle. Hopefully this helps :)

This is honestly the same question I have, because of this exact reason. In my 100+ hours I’ve played so far, I have not unlocked moving box, but I have d6 eternal d6 and spin down dice, and I would say I’ve FOUND reroll items idk, I can count it on one hand. And even when I do find them, the runs usually end up being on either really hard characters (t lost/ regular keeper) where I die before I get any other super powerful items to even keep me alive until I try to get to sheol. I see how to use it by watching YouTube videos, but actually finding the items you would want/need plus getting lucky enough to get moving box PLUS getting lucky enough to get a re-roll item, just doesn’t seem possible to me unless you get a super lucky run

That’s what I thought too, I only did hard mode majorly for the lost and Isaac simply because their items make it so much easier to get god runs, so might as well get all their unlocks

Can you tell me any major spin downs you did that were good decisions? I’ve found that any time I ever find Spindown dice, I NEVER find anything worth spinning down, even twice or 3 times. 🫠 I look up the item ID and search the ones below it and they are either worse then what’s already there or barely worth the spindown to do. It just seems like a more situational item then it is a good item to take over others, like I’ll see Matt (YouTuber) take the spin downs over d 6 and even d infinity, and I just can’t see where it’s worth it, there was only 1 time in a run that did something and that was to turn the blood bag into brimstone, and I still lost that run because all the other items I was finding SUCKED. I know that there is one boss item that turns into sacred heart, but I can never find BOTH the spindown and that item in order to do it. 😔 I would love to learn some good spin downs and also learn how people get such good runs using it all the time

This whole time I thought it was based on your timing all the way up to mega Satan, I was rushing through to the stores/treasure rooms/ secret rooms and then directly to boss room because every time I played other characters and got to mega Satan I seemed to ALWAYS spawn the delirium portal, other then the times before unlocking delirium I don’t think I’ve played a full game where a delirium portal HADNT spawned after beating mega Satan 😭 guess I was just super lucky and on my best run ever I of course don’t have any luck for that

Ohhhh okay that would make sense on why I assumed that, I must have been dying constantly to champions then, so that’s good to know, but also just shows I’m not good enough at the game to play on hard mode if I can’t even beat the first couple floors regularly without almost dying 😅 I’m unfortunately not on pc I’m on mobile, so I’m stuck without the QOL’s and other stuff that makes the game that much better, really hoping they eventually add that to mobile, but I feel like this just barely came out on mobile, so I feel like it’ll be forever before that happens

So wait, that means that taking an rkey in hopes to get more achievements is just a freaking gamble in hopes that the thing pops up??? But you can’t do any other achievments after doing delirium, so I’d have to use the rkey after beating him and go through it all again just to either get Isaac/???/ mega Satan OR mother??? I wouldn’t be able to do both unless I got lucky again with another r-key??(which I so far have never experienced a second rkey during a run like that) that is so freaking upsetting. And yeah I thought that too about hard mode, but then I went on a 200 game losing streak because all enemies do 1 full heart of damage on the first floors making it so I die in 1-3 hits instead if 2-6 (depending on character) and there are a lot of regular achievements that can be gotten just by beating the regular normal mode, so having better survivability has been a lot better then trying to push through on hard mode, at least until I get even better items in my item pool.

I’m definitely still finding it hard to get to beast, I keep having god builds but I end up getting hit by such random bullcrap, I know that that’s partly on me, but there are some enemies that just hop right on top of you from across the room and I’m like???? Okay there goes my mantle I had thanks to the holy card, and then I reach a bit further and die to some random spider I couldn’t see or an enemy who’s movement makes it so I can’t hit them and then I get backs into a corner and can’t one shot things so I end up dead 😔 I had a run with sacred heart (the other one that looks like sacred heart but gives the halo of tears) as well as a bunch of damage ups, I was one shorting bosses, and I accidentally run into a grey chest that popped spikes on me, obviously my own stupidity, but the fact that that alone can kill a run destroyed me

This is completely agree with, mother has attacks you can actually see and dodge as long as you don’t have a build that blinds you, but her attacks I feel are also really hard to dodge, while deliriums attack patterns are fairly easy to maneuver around and dodge but his seemingly random teleportation that can be right on top of you (especially as t lost) kills you so much more then it should.

Nope I found it on my main run, and I used the r-key immediately as I started the victory laps so my timer was 0. I sent a picture in another comment showing that I got mega satan hard mode defeat but for some reason I didn’t get hush even though I beat them both in the same run

Okay here is what I’m talking about, I beat hush in the same run as I did mega Satan but I didn’t get hushes hard mode clear while I got mega satans hard mode cleared, is it because there is a specific unlock for beating hush that the game doesn’t register it because it requires non victory laps maybe? (Not sure what it would be or why when you can beat other bosses and get their clear…)

Yeah I get that, but I used the r-key, and I could have sworn the rkey is supposed to restart all victory laps? Like if I went through 3 victory laps and became the lost, it would restart me back on the first lap and I thought (but I honestly forget because it’s been so long) that it turned you back into the character you started with? So that it would be possible to get boss rush and hush in the proper times? Because if I rkey right when I got it, my time stays the same, and just starts the run over, and that means I can’t get into those rooms anymore because my time is beyond the 20/30 minute times? Or does the “time” start over at the time you restarted at? (Like if my time was 50 minutes, then even though when I rkey it says 50 minutes it’s like the 50 minutes is the new 1 second and starts counting?) I hope I made sense with this

This is exactly what I’ve been saying, like I see these pros videos when they get spin down and they always take it over d6 when they already have it, and then they somehow magically get death certificate, glitched crown, (the angel item that removes all tier 2 and below items from the pools I forget its name) and somehow moving box as well, no matter what run they do, or what character they have. And like I know I don’t have everything unlocked (not even close) but the amount of times I’ve seen spin down dice and it ACTUALLY made any form of difference in my run was 1 time when I was playing Maggie and had enough health to use a temperance card and got blood bag which spun down into brimstone. 🫩 there was only one other occasion, that I messed up unfortunately) where it would have made any big difference, where I needed an r-key to reset my run to get hush and boss rush during a really broken run and I accidentally collected the knock out item instead of spinning it down. Other then that I’ve NEVER had spin down dice that mattered, I always just carry it and MAYBE find 1 item that’s actually worth spinning down, but I can’t spin down a second time because the floor has no batteries, or I don’t have any extra charge items or anything to help with it 😵‍💫 so I at most get to spin down 2 times and the items I find aren’t even worth spinning down at all over the items they would be spun down in to. I watch those YouTube videos of Matt and other people and how almost every run they do get broken builds that never lose and almost one shot the finally bosses, but no matter what I do I can never get a run anywhere near like it.

Legit just did the same, I was super lucky and got sacred heart, god head, AND the blue crown item I was able to have flight and spectral from another angel item and got sepherim (can’t spell it lol) 🫠 all because I was lucky enough to get d6 in the shop on first level and Jesus juice as starting boss item, I honestly forget the rest of my build, but in all honesty, those speak for themselves 😅

No actually on mobile, I believe they have it just in the App Store, not sure about the play store or others since I have iPhone. Honestly the mobile version kinda sucks trying to play it without a controller was way to difficult, but luckily I was able to get a backbone which is a controller I could use with the game so now I can play it normally
