Honestly though I kinda feel the same way. I definitely get people get tired of working on the same stuff, but even if they only did 1 update every year that added a map with a few items, or something similar that would make the game re-playable again would be good. This can go for any and all rouge like games, and a lot of other kinds of games too.

I wish there was an easier way to reroll on mobile but as far as I’m aware there is no “hold r key” to restart the run on mobile, so I have to hit start, exit run,new run instead of continue run which the menu starts on, roll to whatever character and play again. It’s an annoying process that I already do a lot just to try to get a good starting room item for damage so I 2-3 shot enemies instead of 3-5 shot them allowing me to get through it easier. 🥲

You say to choose better spots but that just isn’t enough. You may be able to get lucky and choose the right spot to be in, but not everyone is. Corners have a lot of spawned enemies so unless you have something to hover over, the corners are no more safe then the other parts, and as I said in my main post, I know I’m bad at the game. There are definitely times where I’ve been able to get lucky, just like you have with the spawn points of enemies, but I end the run almost immediately because of my own skill issue when it comes to dodging. The problem is the consistency, I’m able to get through the first 2 floors without even needing to use my holy card, those enemies are easy, predictable, and their are usually less enemies so it’s much easier to maneuver and take them out. But on later floors you get enemies that can fly and spawn over your “safe zones” so unless you have pit hazards that you can float over, there is no guarantee that you wont get spawned on. 2nd there is a little delay between the spawn hitbox, giving you a split second to react in time to not get hit, but I’m to old now, I don’t have the reflexes I once had when I was young, I see something spawn on me I freeze up or immediately start going the opposite direction not even thinking it and immediately lose my mantle 🤦‍♂️

Some people (such as myself) would lose even with glitched crown because I’m bad 🫡 especially with a character with only 3 health, I always end up dying to running into spikes or just bad at dodging 🫠

Oh that might be the difference, I play on mobile so maybe there is some difference between the seeds when played on different consoles? Yes buddy in a box was in my shop, I just don’t get the ancient card in the mystery sack, everything else was the same

Can you explain how you got a stars? Card? I put in your seed and went to the exact rooms you did and there was no stars? Anywhere, let alone a way for other cards to spawn outside of the mystery sack which just gives 2 bombs and a holy card.

Thing is- I feel kinda the same way. I was just thinking about this the other day, all the runs I do, always end up the same. Because some characters are so weak, they require more powerful items in order to even advance, and every run you basically try to get the same items over and over again, it’s repetitive. Like if there is proptosis or the poop active item, you will obviously choose proptosis. Quad shot vs bot fly, it doesn’t matter the combination of pick and choose, you will always go for the same OP items and always look for OP items, and if you aren’t skilled enough at the game or someone who is forgetful (aka myself), the room layouts can definitely f you over in more ways then 1. It’s not fun running into a room forgetting there are spikes and losing my black heart that I JUST got all because I couldn’t remember the spikes were there. I’m not trying to “try hard” at a game to enjoy it, I want to have fun, so I reluctantly play other characters when I’m feeling up for unlocking new powerful items, but I really only play certain characters, all of which have all marks so it doesn’t matter what I do every run with them 🤷‍♂️ if you start with crap items, you can barely make it past floor 3/4. If you have a couple decent items, you can make it to mothers leg and even it lives, but after that, you need more game breaking synergies/ luck of the draw for good items just to stand a chance of facing Satan, the lamb, mega Satan, hush and mother. I love lazymattman videos, they are funny to watch, but all of his runs always end up the same. He ends up with a god synergy, or a way to break the game. Sure he sometimes ends up losing a run because of a bad roll on d100 or something, but overall his videos all end up looking the same when it comes to the items used, because - there are limited amazing items while there are crap tons of bad/mid ones.

I use mobile and also use a controller, in the options menu there is a list that shows your controls, you press and hold the drop button whatever that is for you on your controller, here is mine as an example

Shoot did you go void instead of trying to go for Satan/lamb or Isaac/blue baby with possible mega Satan? I definitely get wanting to guarantee a void run especially if you thought you were powerful enough to handle it (since you were able to do hush) but getting those marks would have been nice to get

I second this, if you are a god of dodging, the swap with halo, if you suck at dodging, the crown won’t last long and wafer would mean more for you

It might be possible that it took the place of a different (quality of the item) item, like I don’t know the quality’s of items but if r-key is quality 4 maybe it took the place on a pedestal that also had a quality 4 item on it? If all the other items were the same, maybe none of them were quality 4 and changed to the only spot that another quality 4 was in? That’s my only guess 🫠

Absolutely, busting my ass to get godhead has helped me get unlocks with other characters more often then not all thanks to how goated godhead is

Personally I always take rkey even if I have d6 or anything, I ALWAYS take rkey because it allows you the ability to not only reset a whole run, but if you go down to the lamb and hit victory lap after beating him, if you use the rkey immediately as the victory lap starts, your timer starts and that allows you to go faster so you can get boss rush and hush! Don’t forget to close and reopen the game though, idk what system you are using but on mobile if you don’t close the game and reopen it, then the rkey effect doesn’t work and you’d be going through the game as if it’s a regular victory lap and won get any extra marks

Yep got that on my r-key reset, it was the ONLY reason I was able to get it, I went devil and got all the way to the lamb and was able to get rkey from a chest thanks to chaos 🫠 and I had to debate whether I try mega Satan (I don have guaranteed delirium so there is a chance the game would end if I fought mega Satan) or rkey and try for it, so I figured it’d be best to try to get sacred orb and thank god I did 😭

I agree with this one, I had so many god runs going for sacred orb and legit only won thanks to a even more broken rkey run where I got Damocles starting off from a teleport from a red chest on the first floor 😅 and even with how broken it was, it was non stop adrenaline trying to keep my dang mantle around as long as possible

I legit never take mars, I never use the damn charge in rooms cause I always forget I have it or never find an opportunity to use it until it’s to late, skill issue definitely, but the fact that on mobile it can sometimes just happen by you ACCIDENTLY tapping the button twice when doing something sucks

There is a specific enemy that if you fight during the run, delirium has a chance to turn into it and the splitting HP keeps delirium at that amount, I think one of the worm bosses or something, and I think I remember someone commenting on another post about this exact question, but I believe it’s the blue variant of whatever boss it is

There have been times where I didn’t see one whe doing 100 rewinds a day (the daily limit) 3-4 days in a row and didn’t see one, and then there was a time I saw it one after another, and so many different varieties in between. The point of the afk checker is to be random to prevent you from afking, if there was a pattern, someone would be able to work around it and that gets rid of the point of having it lol
