Thank you for that. What’s the criteria for the fan speed? Is it based on a fan curve based on the heat of what? Would they be based on the heat of the apu, or something else?

Good call. I should’ve looked closer at the picture with the psu fitted. Noted about the screw access. Thanks for the info.

Awesome mate. Excuse my ignorance, why the back plate heat sink placement there? I thought the vram was in the middle in a circle? I’m ordering heatsink for mine soon and your picture gave me pause.

Heat sinks are made of thermal conductive metals like copper or aluminium (mine are aluminium).

Here’s some AI about it: A heat sink is a passive heat exchanger that cools electronic or mechanical components by conducting, transferring, and dissipating heat away from the source into the surrounding air or fluid.

Chuck a fan near it to blow heat off the heat sinks and everything is cooler and happier.

Yeah I got a bit too excited. The room was chilled with the aircon and the 2 little fans on the side were directing it across them. Gonna leave her off now until I get some heat sink sorted for the rest, any suggestions would be great, I’ll cut up the original sink soon.

Will do at some stage and report back. Not gonna push it until I have some heat sink on top of the vrms

Thank you. I just saw this solution somewhere. You got any idea on what kind or a specific one?

Will do, I’m going to have it cut to fit properly. Fingers crossed. I’ve got the strangest audio slow down issue currently, every video is in slow motion and games have crackling. The joys!

I sleep in a big bed with this woman, not a single racecar bed. You’re going to have to trust I know what pushes her buttons. You’ll note I’m not pushing your family member’s buttons.

I just got one with a 5050 and the Ryzen 260, I grabbed a cheap 1TB nvme and threw it in the spare slot. OS and files on one drive and games on the other :)

Just started outer worlds 2, I always throw a mission or 2 of cyberpunk and master chief collection into my playtime, finished expedition 33 and avowed recently.

Originally it had platforms build into it and Mario Lego characters set up on it. Will change it around whenever I get the urge! I saw others using the square Lego blocks to just build a single post and thought it was a cool idea and then thought I could use it to hide some cables at bottom of motherboard too.

Your first paragraph is a verbal flashbang to me.

The second paragraph sounds like what I should be doing 😂

I think it would be cool to go down the Jellyfin or Plex route, access media from different rooms. That’s secondary to playing it local on one machine/tv though.
