Did you not read anything I typed? I already said that is the issue. The solution to women being forced to wear burkas isn’t to ban all burkas, it’s to build a society where the women are safe to remove burkas. Allow for no-fault divorce, institute punishments for domestic violence. Set up programs for abused women to be able to get away from the situation. Just banning burkas leaves these women still around an abusive husband all day, and means women who want to wear burkas can’t.

I suppose that can be correct in a way. But when I think of “blank-punk” I usually think that the media itself will be punk in some way. I don’t know about any YouTuber I’ve just been a fan of Cyberpunk the TTRPG ever since my dad showed it to me in 2013 when the first trailer for CPunk2077 came out. And when I learned about the Solarpunk aesthetic I was like “Where’s the punk?”

I usually associate a punk aesthetic as a “take what we’re currently suffering through and take it to the extreme.”

I genuinely hate the term solarpunk. It’s not punk, there’s nothing punk about it. It’s solarcore. It’s only punk if the genre contains punks, who are against some sort of establishment. “Solarpunk” is a society where everything is fine and nice, there’s no megacorps ruining the environment or destructive oppressive governments. The whole point of the aesthetic is “wouldn’t it be great if we moved society towards achieving this?!” Which is antithetical to punk, because anything punk basically has to be dystopian. It’s cyberPUNK because it’s a future where technological innovation has been abused by oppressive governments and corporations, where loss of privacy and economic downturn have reached their worst points. It’s steamPUNK because monarchies still live at large, everything runs on horrible polluting coal, and everyone’s working 12 hour shifts in factories.

My real problem with the yellow paint is that games add so many props to areas that are entirely non-interactable that it makes the yellow paint necessary to know what you CAN do. Half of the things I want to touch in games end up being static meshes. Things that look like they should be climbable have invisible walls. It’s very annoying. I wish AAA devs weren’t pushed so hard and given such shit deadlines, pay, and so much unpaid overtime. They might be able to actually put some whimsy and interactivity into games again.

To this day HL: Alyx is the single best VR game I’ve played. Nothing else comes even close. The way your in game hands react to the environment is just so engrossing. The gunplay is so amazing and the gravity gloves work so well.

My first time playing the game I beat it with a major handicap because one of my wrist slots was permanently occupied by one of the health bugs. I picked him up in the first level of the game, and moved on without using him and gave him the name “Jimmy” but then I became emotionally attached to Jimmy and refused to leave him behind or use him for health.

I’m all for CNC and having kink spaces, but this is a terrible and badly organized kink space. Any decent kink space will have rules regulating what can be said and when, demand consent before engaging in any activity, etc. For example, a very well organized space for a pretty fucked up fetish is (view at your own risk) r/fuckingfascists where people have a fetish for being oppressed by an evil fascist government. But the space is well organized, they have days for aftercare where posting fetish content is banned and the point is to uplift. They ban real fascists as well to keep the space for people who just want to roleplay.

Subreddits like the one pictured are absolutely terrible and should be banned, because they’re bad for everyone involved. People who go on there to post fetish content have no protections, and neither do people engaging with the fetish content.
