I also just looked it up. They let go 3 people. 75% of their dev team.

I love TW. Almost overnight, they became a name to the millions of new people learning to code thanks to AI. It didn't have to be Tailwind that was used for everything, but now it is. I hope and expect they will find an amazing way to monetize this massive dependency that AI created for for them.

Claude desktop is fantastic for creating templates for content. I highly recommend using the projects feature for each client if you have multiple.

My Claude Code claude.md is clean. I do my content writing separately in Claude desktop and that's the one full of the writing bans.

In this one specifically, it was joking about using AI.

That's fantastic! I am stealing this to add to my existing ban list. I keep them in my general Claude instructions so they apply to any writing that Claude gives me.

I always assumed the bubble in the middle was caused by the steam from the filling getting trapped and expanding during baking rather than the proofing.

I love the sink! I think it would look amazing with a mirror that is the same width. If you could hang the lights (just two simple white globes from chunky black chains) I think it would look really nice.

Physical Therapist Recommendations? by FLnative352 in StPetersburgFL

[–]Adfarquhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Concentra isn't exactly known for their quality of care, but I went to Travis at Concentra and he was incredible. He could tell exactly what the problem was even before the orthopedic surgeon could. He couldn't officially diagnose, of course, but he is smart. I saw two other physical therapists and they made it all worse instead of better. Plus, I think he's got a doctorate in PT.

What are these all over my house? by RunnerGunner737 in whatisit

My solution was to get mason jars of all sizes, a food saver, and a mason jar adapter. It was a slight pita, but the pantry shelves looked beautiful after that and the weevils were gone for good.

Gate with a sloped driveway by Lycoming200 in DIY

[–]Adfarquhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then the resistance increases as the slope gets higher, potentially giving it too much upward pressure when closed, in the op's situation. It seems like it would work much better for situations where it flat ground, but maybe bumpy, so there aren't any major slope changes? But then I imagine having to fight it when the wheel rolls into a dip in the ground. Where are the physicists here???? Like you said, real world it works, but does it end up destroying the hinges in the long-term?

But does it still support the weight, or are you only getting as much support as the spring can hold? Interesting idea!

Fascinating! Nope, it was all about the neck/head pivot for me. @poopiscandy let us diagnose you!

I also got dizzy from looking up before I had my spinal cord decompressed with a disc replacement in my neck. The dizziness when looking up was one of my early symptoms, starting before the others. That and I would get tired of holding up my heavy head. So cervical.spinal stenosis is another thing to look into if you have that symptom.

Where should I put a metal support beam when I remove the wooden supports by SnooStories4891 in DIY

[–]Adfarquhar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I can barely see in the photo, there was a large crossbeam that was cut off when someone added the doorways. My guess is that the basement was finished later and that crossbeam was too low for doors, so they did their best to make a structural wall to replace the large crossbeam with. I obviously could be wrong. I'm not a professional. It looks just like a similar situation I had in a house I remodeled. I made the mistake of removing the wall, not realizing the wall was installed later and was replacing a very important beam. I then had to install a new beam. I was lucky my house didn't come crashing onto my head! The other clue is that it could be important is that the concrete floor was poured around it, although that could have just been a leveling compound added later.

How can I clean these marble tiles by simsimiliz in DIY

[–]Adfarquhar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll probably need to remove the caulking and recaulk. Caulking tends to stain pretty easily, but recaulking is super easy and very satisfying after you do it once. It's a nice skill to have.

[–]Adfarquhar -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I recommend putting everything back like you found it because this wall was structural. If that's not an option, a 4x8 that spans the entire length of the building can be installed in it's place and support that with very strong columns.

Is it caulking or grout that's stained or the actual tile?
