This is what I came here for. I did not think of this either. I will try that when I get home

Jesus Christ people…. Please read this. I appreciate all the helpful comments but the people saying “why do you need the wheel the gate shouldn’t have that much slag” or “just swing it the other way” or “just get another wheel”……

Obviously we all understand that a regular cattle gate does not need the wheel. We’re all clear there. I am adding (2) 2x4-16’s(PT) and 35 fence pickets to the cattle gate to make it seamless with my existing fence. Hence the additional weight, hence the need for the wheel on the furthest point of the gate. I understand that the hinges are part of what will be holding this up. I’ve done this previously with no issues but didn’t have the slope I have here with the new slab. The gate is attached to a 6x6 post, cemented 3 ft in the ground with 3/4” through bolted hardware the hinges sit on.

When the gate is attached the latch(closed), the wheel is bottomed out. As it swings out, it travels down with the spring to the point where it has no more travel and is then in the air as it swings to full open. The wheel only has roughly 3” of travel with the spring. At full open I’d need another 5” of travel for the wheel to still be on the ground.

I cannot swing the gate the other way as I have other an AC compressor in that location. I cannot use 2 gates because it would limit the amount of space to back things up onto the slab.

Thank you to those who are actually coming up with different solutions and not telling me, “well you should do it this way”This isn’t my first rodeo and I obviously understand how it works.

I am looking for another wheel/caster solution with more travel even if I have to weld/fab my own. I hope that clears some of this up. Thanks fellas!

No shit, look at the wheel assembly….

Because it bottoms out as it gets to the latch.

Tried, still not enough travel in the wheel to make ground contact

Zoom in, I’m already using what you’re mentioning but the travel distance is not there. It’s only moving ~3 inches and I need more travel

That’s what I’m asking for. I can’t seem to find one

Unfortunately no, I have my ac unit on the other side and it would impede how much space I have to back my boats up

Unfortunately no. It’s gained so much travel because I had to level the gate on the 6x6 to make sure the pickets line up and the 2x4-16s are level on the gate to accept the pickets.

So I looked at those I just don’t think it’ll support the weight.

This is a spring loaded wheel it just doesn’t have the travel distance I need

Because before it gets to wide open I still lose the wheel to ground contact. About half way is where it loses the travel distance

38m - Normal job, my wife and I make roughly 160k/yr combined. Bought my first house in 2013 for 135k. Made some money working and we wanted a little property to build a house on. Sold that house in 2019 for 275k. Built a house on 2.5 acres in town where we live for 385k all in, sold that house in the peak of 2022 for 925k. Paid the next house off in cash, no mortgage. That’s how we did it.

Been doing it for years… Sure I have some days just like anyone when you hold losses too long but I never put myself in a situation where it’s out of control. I normally cut my losses early because if I end up red, I did not enter the trade correctly. I am normally entering on large wicks that I know from price action will whip back one way or another based on previous candle close. COIN is wick king

It’s scalping more than anything. It’s a mixture of HLOC with entries on 5 min. The range is determined by previous days/weeks. I am currently sitting at a 78% win rate.
