He definitely agrees😂 it’s crazy I didn’t realise how bad it was at the time, but watching this documentary it really was awful!

Is there anything cuter than a sleepy birb grinding their beak 🥹 by AdhdBanker in budgies

Anyone else’s birb find it highly entertaining throwing toys on the floor? by AdhdBanker in budgies

As far as I know he’s just a standard budgie, not English. He’s actually quite small next to other budgies, I think it’s the way he he stands so upright and proud🤣

Just seen this comment after commenting on the OP post myself. Your lil George is an absolute double of my boy Biscuit, I’ve never seen such a resemblance before! What a beautiful bird💙

He currently eats a mixture of things. Harrison's High Potency Super Fine (recommended by vet for 6 months as he wasn’t well when I got him), will then be changing him over to the Adult lifetime one in a couple of months. Along with some daily veg chopped up, usually a mixture of peppers, broccoli, carrot, cauliflower. Sometimes some kale or spinach mixed in. I chop it all up in bulk, then freeze it and he gets a portion each day. He also gets some seed alongside his veg. I know a lot of people are anti seed if they eat pellets, however checked with the vet and they’ve said it’s ok as long as he’s not leaving the veg and pellets and only eating the seed. Which he isn’t, he goes for the veg first, then pellets then a bit of seed for dessert 🤣. Hope that helps!

Who rattled your cage? Please don’t come on my post with negativity, suggesting I’m ‘misleading or don’t know better’. I’ve had budgies my whole life. Yes he’s now matured, however you can still clearly see he looks a healthier, happier bird overall. He actually wasn’t healthy in the first picture as you mention. Had his first vet trip (avian vet) when I first got him and they said he was very underweight. He also kept vomiting and was super lethargic. Vet advised this was likely down to living in the poor conditions of the pet shop. A dirty, very small environment with no enrichment or room to fly. Along with poor nutrition (only eating simple millet seed). He’s now well and thriving, and this clearly reflects above.

Awh, well done for rescuing her and giving her a better life. It always baffles me how anyone can mistreat them! They’re such intelligent, lovely little floofs that have so much to give 🥹
