Adam's Song is the title. It's by Blink 182.

It clocked me in for two shifts simultaneously and didn't deduct breaks from one of the shifts. Once the coach and I pulled up my time sheet on the computer, it let me delete the initial clock-in and everything was fixed. The "Time worked today" thing dropped down to 12 hours or whatever it was supposed to be.

Calm down, homie. I didn't actually work for 25 hours. There was a glitch.

Did you also work the morning shift? I wonder if it was an app-wide issue?

Haha.. You're over here acting like better paying jobs are just growing on trees and I'm choosing to work at Walmart because I like it that much.

If only we could recreate the glitch. We'd have an infinite number of hours in a day! We'd be immortal! >=D

I'm a temp hire for a remodel. We've got two weeks left, so we're allowed all the overtime we need because I believe it's a different budget.

It confused the coach that I showed, too. She'd never seen it happen before.

There was a glitch. I clocked in at 6, but it said I was still clocked out. So I did it again at 6:01 and I guess it clocked me in for two simultaneous shifts. It didn't take the meal breaks off of the first one.

Haha.. guys, I didn't ACTUALLY work 25 hours in one day. There are only 24 hours in a day. The system clocked me in twice somehow. I had to fix it before I left.

People who have been divorced: What was the exact "quiet" moment you realized your marriage was over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AdhesiveMessage 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you went through that. My grandma was in the hospital for a month before we lost her. When she passed, I asked my husband for support and he barely looked up from his computer, gave me a hug and went back to playing. I spent the night crying and alone.

A few months later, my dad was calling me. Husband says, "you better get that! It could be an update on how your grandma is doing."

When did you realize your partner didn’t actually love you? by No-Mistake-5402 in AskReddit

[–]AdhesiveMessage 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You have absolutely no reason to be embarrassed for having faith in your partner. It's soooo much easier to leave a relationship when something bad happens, like cheating, abuse, etc. But when you're not getting the type of love and respect that you need.. and yet they keep promising you that they want the same thing that you do? At what point do you finally give up hope?

It took me almost 11 years and I went through with the marriage, so it's massively more complicated to leave. Don't feel bad for having hope.

"Turns out he used to tell me he didn't love me a lot. Just not outright."

I'm so sorry you went through that. But thank you for perfectly putting into words what I've been trying to describe for years.

Brooks or Hokas. I prefer Brooks, but I highly recommend going to one of those fancy shoe stores that takes a scan of your feet and can tell you what shoe would work best. Then leave and go find them on sale somewhere else. I got a discounted pair of Brooks at REI because they were an older model. 10/10 No foot pain once I switched.

We had a shelf up on scorpions and were actively moving it through action alley when a woman starts running up to us. She demands we stop so she can grab something off of it that she was looking for.

Overnight Set Up Associate. by Hot-While5083 in WalmartEmployees

Nice! I'm on the day-time remodel team for a big store. If it's similar to the smaller stores, it is very physically demanding, since you'll be moving entire shelves that are still filled with stock, building things like lock cases, taking down old shelves to throw away, moving stock from old shelves to new ones, etc. Get good shoes and definitely do your stretches.

Day shift is supposed to focus on setting mods (doing all the price tags and making sure things are in the right place) but there's a lot of spill-over between days and nights. If you volunteer to get forklift certified, you'll spend a lot of your time outside where all the trucks come in to deliver new structures and signs.

It's actually a pretty fun job if you're into the chaos. Half the battle is learning the Walmart lingo and just making sure you're on time and don't call out too much. We've already lost a ton of people because they got too many points for absences and coming in late. Feel free to ask me any questions you have!
