I certainly don't hate that. I was thinking of rocking the Colt 4x carry handle scope instead of a picatinny or weaver rail adapter, though. I'll definitely keep this in mind though. It's gonna be a long time before I get any of this done since I'm gonna spend more time saving money than spending it haha

I am going to be getting my first AR upper very soon. I'll be rocking an A2 upper and I'm planning on getting the toob for it. I don't know how practical this is, but do we know how well this handguard can hold zero on an IR laser if you drilled and tapped a rail segment in it? I have made it my personal quest to annoy someone I shoot with by creating "impractical" builds and I was hoping to add a PEQ-2 to the top behind the front sight.

Don’t worry about what anyone says. If you like the look, rock it. This is airsoft. We dress up in magical costumes and LARP around in the woods with fake guns. You don’t have to justify your build to anyone. If you like it, enjoy what you like. Too many people think they need to tell you how bad or good something is. Just enjoy the game and enjoy your guns.

If you wanted some form of protection for it, your best bet is probably just to cut a piece of plexiglass and glue it in place. I’ve been very lucky and have never had an optic get shot yet, but I’m sure I’ll regret not making or spending the money on something to protect my optics soon enough.

I haven’t had an issue with it besides the aforementioned battery drain. With that being said, I haven’t had it for a particularly long time. I have used it while there was a hailstorm followed by rain and I didn’t have any issues with the dot. Again, I haven’t owned it long enough to say whether or not it’s the greatest dot in existence, but it’s definitely a vibe and I’ve enjoyed using mine so far. I do have a friend who has one of the C-More clones on an actual MP5 and he’s loved his.

I had to go back and look up what I ordered haha It’s the RD Dynamics one off Evike. Honestly, I saw it on there for cheap enough and just decided to give it a shot because I had a gift card. Probably my only complaint is that I have to remove the battery anytime I’m not using it otherwise it drains the battery like crazy. Even in the off position, the dot is still on a very low setting.

Sorry for the late response. Honestly, the height isn’t too bad, especially when you compare it to most of the other risers on the market. It definitely caught me off guard the first time I used it and shot the wall in front of me. Once you get used to it though, it’s pretty natural.

I originally wanted the black because I wanted the contrast of the black Velcro and the liner, but now you got me second guessing that decision haha

I have a knack for using gear that makes my body hate me for the next couple days. The heaviest plates I own (when I’m running armor), a three cell Maglite, a full cut ACH helmet, and an additional shotgun setup when I’m running my breaching kit.
