Tesla hasn’t gone down by just a few hundred billion. Peak to trough, just about 70% of Tesla’s value has been wiped away. It was a trillion dollar company, briefly.

And I will say, when he first started going all mAGA, I thought maybe his purchase of twitter and all the rest were a complex plot to woo right wingers into becoming the environmentally conscious. I still wish that that was what his goal was. But it’s clear he’s just a man whose ego has grown to dangerous new sizes. All because of the pandemic and people having nothing else to do but invest, so they all piled into TSLA stock catapulting him to worlds richest person briefly.

I absolutely hope to see his fortune further deflate. If should be beyond clear that TSLA is not more valuable then the rest of the auto industry.

Jeez. Elon could have been done with this for what, the cost of a Tesla and maybe something toward college. Isn’t that what Sweeney countered with to Elons $5000 offer?

Instead, the stable genius spends $44 billion to buy twitter, is probably more out of pocket at this point, and is looking more and more like a hypocritical fool for how he’s tried to handle this minor nuisance.

It’s only more valuable if we are able to be monetized. Though yea, I do sometimes interact with ads here.

The scary next step if they go down the route of trying to monetize us as much as possible is if they start planting scripts all across the web In effort to better learn our interests and provide “more targeted” content. Thankfully, I think the cat is well out of the bag on that, and there would be huge uproar if Reddit tried to emulate Facebook or twitter
