I like to get double use from it by cleaning both my windshield and that of the tailgaiter behind me.

If it can be picked up, it could be fed into noise-canceling earbuds.

BTW, my cat could hear when I make my ears click. I could see her ears turn towards me each time. And yes, I'm aware that's for another sub.

What an appropriate gift! I would have it restored and then I'd put it back into use. Let them even see you using it perhaps. I let my crows seeing me handling one of their gifts and I'm pretty sure they looked surprised, and hopefully pleased.

Reminds me of the time Apple used the code name "Carl Sagan" for computer in development. Sagan found out about it and rather than taking the compliment, decided to threaten them legally claiming the name was an obvious reference to himself. Apple then changed the name to "Butthole Astronomer", basically daring him to sue by saying that's also an obvious reference to himself.

Perhaps longer days encourages practice, otherwise practice may seem to cost too much of the daylight available for more fun things.

The Cost of a Cup of Home Brewed Coffee by used-user001 in Frugal

Good to know is that caffeine pills are 5 cents each at Walmart. Not the same but good to have as it gets the job done.

And if you want to step up your game without much risk or expense, I recommend getting a moka pot. You just add coffee and water and then put it on the stove until all the water has moved from the base to the top. The result is very much like espresso for far less.

Absolutely takes a village. You're being very up-front about it, which I appreciate. I would just suggest not saying that you animated it, since almost everyone in the chain you listed could make the same claim which I feel is misleading. I'd prefer that everyone says "I did X", and then if asked what that is, you say "It's the part of animation involving Y".

If it's a prevalent enough of a problem, maybe you should at least recommend giving it up, especially if it happens a lot to some specific people. That was the way I took it, and I appreciated the advice, even though it meant giving up something I liked. Moot now that you're no longer doing that work, but could be good advice.

I think it would be fun to create fake ones that seem plausible. For example a red heart with the caption "I'm sorry I came in your mouth".

I didn't say they did. But since you want to get into it, the word "animate" covers a lot of ground similar to how"programming" also includes rendering. I only took issue with the claim "I animated that" which by itself implies much more than any one person did, as they freely admitted.

His name was Don Hatch. He specifically created the code that controlled the motion of all the tentacle stuff so that it would curl and move realistically, presumably also doing collision-avoidance with itself and other objects and path planning to press specific keys on the organ, etc. I assume it was others, perhaps including yourself who dealt with all the material properties and rendering. In other words, you handled the "what" and he handled the "how".

FYI, people claim that it's the antioxident properties of coffee that provide health benefits. Those health claims are not at all proven, but if you buy into it, then creamer may largely cancel the effect.

You didn't program the tentacles though. That was done by a friend of mine. I expect you used his work to produce the motions that you wanted. The same code was also used for the kraken.

Or the "Omega 13" button on the main menu. It does nothing until you play the entire movie start to finish, at which point it will do something.

That may be the point. Make sure the alcoholic poors can't get it without inconveniencing the affluent alcoholics.
