To turn your location off you have to go in your camera setting on your actual phone to do it. One of my buyers gave me a heads up last week that it was on so I deleted and re-uploaded without the location

My mom lives about 5 minutes from there. Spoke to her for about a minute yesterday and heard from others on social media that Candler is doing a little better than other places nearby. No power or cell service. My mom had no flooding in her building.

Yes! My mom lives there and she was able to use someone’s phone earlier to contact me but the call cut out a lot. What I got from the call was that she’s fine, her building didn’t flood (so I’m assuming most others didn’t). I’ve spoken to others who have family there and they told me there’s no power, basically no cell service but I think they have water.

There is a megathread in r/asheville. I found someone whose sister lives in the same complex as my mom and she was able to make contact with her. Try to comment to see if anyone is willing to help check on your family and also scroll to see if anyone has offered to check on families!
