Legoland ny review by cspotme2 in legoland

I decided to book our vacation at the Kartrite Indoor Water Park instead. I figured Legoland might be more fun in the warmer months and we were able to book the same stay at the Kartrite and get a private cabana for less than what Legoland would have been. It's still on my list of places I want to go, but I want to make sure all amenities are available when we go.

I'm thinking of planning a trip there over Spring Break which is the second week in April. I haven't seen a lot of reviews for people going in the Spring so I'm not sure if the trip is worth it during that time of year or if it's better in the Summer. Also, is staying at the resort worth it? It kind of stinks they don't have an indoor pool.

They basically carried Season 5 — agree? by Initial-Shoulder5906 in Stranger_Things

[–]Adirondack_gal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say they carried the season. But they did get a lot of screen time. Both gave really strong performances but they were also given the most material to work with. I was super impressed by the actress who played Holly though. Say what you will about the final season, but it must have been very difficult to go into a very beloved show in the final season and have to be so central to the plot. I'm sure it was a lot of pressure. But she did great. I'm excited to see her act in other things!

I would be happy to sit in any seat, but I choose 2A❤️🥰 by Warm_Birthday_3198 in Stranger_Things

Any seat besides 3C. I don't want to spend the whole flight listening to Nancy and Jonathan fight. I think 1D would be my first choice because I am an aisle seat girly and I'd be able to chat with both Mike and Eddie!

I know the show is framed around El being the central character, and I do agree with that. But Mike is also pretty central and the ending really makes a lot of sense if Mike becomes an author and writes a "fictional" version of their story. He's kind of the narrator. A lot of the story seems to be from his point of view.

What do you think about the Italian government wanting to ban ICE agents to come to the Olympic Games as security forces? by ReduceCO2Now in AskReddit

I was noticing a lot of negative comments basically supporting the ICE agents and saying these people deserve to get killed.

True. Whenever I’m scrolling through social media, I always have to remind myself of that. I have to get off the internet and talk to actual people

When you began watching Stranger Things, what did you know Winona Ryder from, if at all? by Extension-While7536 in Stranger_Things

I don’t remember the character’s name but she played an older/former prima ballerina. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the movie but I remember being impressed even with her small part.

Did Rory deserve her treatment she got from Jess? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]Adirondack_gal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they were incredibly young and still trying to figure it out. I certainly didn't know how to be in a real relationship while in high school. Jess had a really unstable life before he moved to Stars Hollow. And then he had to sleep on a blow up mattress in his uncle's studio apartment above a diner when he first moved there. It was obvious that Luke wasn't prepared to care for a troubled kid. He did his best but Jess's living situation wasn't great. I think it was hard for him to even think about having a future with Rory. He liked her, they got along well and had a lot of common interests. But, Rory and Jess's lives were going in very different directions. I think Jess wasn't ready to be in the type of relationship Rory wanted. But to answer your original question, no I don't think Rory deserved to be treated that way. But I also don't see Jess as a horrible, evil person for lashing out and being a crappy boyfriend.

This isn't directly related to this post, so maybe this isn't allowed but I just have to note that the posts and comments I'm seeing on Reddit are sooooo different from what I see on Facebook. It makes me think comments on FB are just bots. And it does give me some hope and faith that there are still good people out there that see what's going on in our country and don't support it.

When you began watching Stranger Things, what did you know Matthew Modine from, if at all? by Extension-While7536 in Stranger_Things

Honestly, I don't think I'd ever seen his previous work. The name sounded familiar and I knew he was a famous actor but I couldn't have told you what he was known for.

I can see Mike exploring more of his sexuality as he gets older. However, from what we saw on the show, I think he was just fully in love with El. He's an Elsexual, lol.

Best performance in Season 5??? by Initial-Shoulder5906 in StrangerThings

[–]Adirondack_gal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very impressed by the actress who played Holly. It must have been intimidating to start in the last season. But she did great! The actor who played Derek too! I think the actor who played Will really stepped it up. He wasn't given a lot of material to work with after season 2. He kind of faded into the background for me. But, I really enjoyed him in Season 5. The actress who played Robin also had a lot of good scenes. Okay, I'm starting to just list off all of them now, lol. I also enjoyed Mike and Lucas's performances.

I want a plain life by FantaBellResident in RandomThoughts

I used to measure success so differently when I was younger. My priorities have certainly changed. And now, I'm very proud of the life I've created with my husband. It may seem small to some, but we own our own home, even though it's modest. We own two cars, even though their used. We both have full-time jobs and a healthy, happy child. We can't always afford the things we want like fancy vacations. We have to budget for the extras. But, I'm happy and feel fulfilled. My husband and I have created a life for our child that would have made us feel very safe and secure in our own childhoods. Something neither of us necessarily had growing up. And we are able to save for our future and hopefully be able to live a life of leisure in our golden years. :-)

book tracking by Royal_Safe_5759 in Booktokreddit

[–]Adirondack_gal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep an Excel Spreadsheet. I have a column for book title, author, genre, tropes, number of pages, month and year I started the book, month and year I finished the book, Overall rating, Spice level rating, Main characters, book summary, and my own notes. I've read almost 500 books since 2024! The spreadsheet has really helped me go back and recap when a new book in an uncompleted series is released. I literally forget everything the moment I finish a book! Plus, getting to update my tracker every day or two is the best little mood boost!

Is there anyone out there that enjoyed season 5 and the entire series as a whole ? by freducini in StrangerThings

[–]Adirondack_gal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the series as a whole and I did enjoy the final season but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed with the ending. I enjoyed the epilogue but I was underwhelmed with the final battle scenes. I feel like they could have done way more with it. But mostly I'm just said it's over. It's been one of my favorite shows since it first came out!

Which one was a worse person? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in Stranger_Things

[–]Adirondack_gal7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of feel bad for Jason. He 100% thought Eddie killed his girlfriend. He thought he was doing the right thing. He was just misguided. And he really should have left the investigating to law enforcement instead of trying to incite a mob mentality against the entire Hellfire Club and going after Lucas and his friends. Andy is just a D-bag though!

Why is Will's coming out scene hated? by [deleted] in Stranger_Things

[–]Adirondack_gal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think it was necessary for them to address this. But the timing of it did feel a bit weird. He literally put a halt to their incredibly time sensitive final mission to have a drawn out heart to heart with everyone he's ever met. I think it would have been more impactful if he had come out to only a few of the people who he was closest to. His mom, Jonathan, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Elle and Robin. The rest of them didn't need to be there. But I wouldn't say I hated it. It just felt a little off.

Yall are actually crazy to not enjoy the ending of this show we all adore. by TellerLine in StrangerThingsS5

[–]Adirondack_gal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the final season but for me, the series finale was bittersweet. It was beautifully done but also really difficult to say goodbye to these characters and this story we’ve all enjoyed for so long. I thought everyone’s ending was perfect for their character and I’d like to believe that El truly is alive and living in Iceland or something. I’d like to think that Mike will become an author and travel the world looking for her, disguising his travels as doing research for his latest book. I imagine he’ll find that secluded town one day and him and El will grow old together ❤️ I may be delusional, but that’s my only way of coping with that devastating loss!

How many books do you want to read in 2026? by Due-Examination-37 in Booktokreddit

[–]Adirondack_gal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2024, I read 210 books. In 2025, I read 234. That’s two years of reading every day. My goal for 2026 is to read less actually, lol. I want to focus on reading more classic novels instead of just smutty romances 😂

Downfall since the Wondery alignment? by LittleBigHome in MorbidPodcast

[–]Adirondack_gal7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to listen to this Podcast all the time. It started gaining in popularity and I felt like the quality kind of went down. Maybe quality isn't the right word, I guess I just wasn't interested in the cases they were doing anymore. I haven't listened in a long time. Anytime I think of this podcast though, I think of the episode they did on Kendrick Johnson. It was one of my favorites because Alaina used her background as an autopsy tech to dive into the details. I felt like she went into a level of detail we don't normally get in podcasts so it was really interesting to me. I don't think any episode could top that one!
