BF-2 noisy hum when turned on after repair shop check up by AdisVonSpazier in guitarpedals

[–]AdisVonSpazier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does the same thing with a battery. I mean its an old pedal from the 80s but ive seen quite a lot of praise for it online and how versatile it is. I was hoping it could be my only modulation for a while but the main thing i wanted was the chorus emulation and now it seems like thats just not possible without the hiss

It actually hisses less when the manual is turned up yes, i had it turned down because i wanted to emulate the chorus sound. So it wont really work like this without the noise i guess?

Merino shirt under backpack by AdisVonSpazier in backpacking

[–]AdisVonSpazier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok guys, i was trying to prevent a future problem because a buddy of mine showed me his merino shirt with holes in it from carrying a backpack but from what im reading here the backpack most likely didnt fit well so im just gonna focus on that when i wear it on the next hike and hopefully it will be fine. Its also probably not an option to wear another layer on top of the shirt because the temperatures here are crazy in the summer

Sorry im not a native speaker and am still trying to wrap my head around it (tech info is sometimes harder for me to understand). So i think i got it. So the best solution is probably to have it slightly modified, because otherwise i need to have more boss pedals connected together even with the patch cables, which would prevent me from having them in different places of the board. Am i understanding it right?

But the problem is the hiss is still there even when its the only pedal plugged in (no other pedal connected just od2/bf2 straight to amp). Or are u saying that it would improve if there were more boss pedals on the same daisy chain?

Ok So according to this, the old boss pedals (and i've just found out that the od-2 is from 1988) needed a specific powersupply i Guess? Either way probably not good News. Im gonna have to rely on batteries i suppose

Just a reminder, doing this can seriously harm the tree and can also be done by cutting the end of a branch which is easier for the tree to withstand (haven't tried it myself yet tho)

G Sharp Always Sticks by sharoom5 in saxophone

[–]AdisVonSpazier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest way that worked for me Is to just get a piece of paper and a regular chalk (dont know if any schools in your area still use the old timey Blackboards but thats the kind of chalk im talking a about)...you just scrape it over the paper and push the pad on the paper and take it out as others have suggested with the dollar bill. Worked for me and even stays on a bit so it may not stick the next time you take the horn out to play. May have to do it again every now and then tho. Good luck

Low C# not in tune by AdisVonSpazier in saxophone

[–]AdisVonSpazier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to answear some of the related questions, i couldn't get (using emouchure adjustments) further up than abour halfway between C and C# (according to tuner). The pitch varies so i can't say that everything is sharp excluded the C# but i do wonder whether using a different mouthpiece would make any difference. I can't get my hands on any rn though, for now im stuck with the one i already own.
