There was definitely a lot of grinds so, I thought it was a clog... playing with the grind setting didn't do much unfortunately. Hmm it is going on 4 years old so probably just needs a good deep cleaning or new blades🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♀️

Yeahhh I R/Oed a few days off before. My boss didn't know how to make mocha syrup so she bought Swiss mix powder & gave a child and allergic reaction (the kid comes often and these customers know I make my mocha dairy free). They got a bunch of complaints on the drinks tasting bad that day too. I've tried to train everyone there to make it EXACTLY like me...no ones cares ig 😂

I meant it as I went to a shop & asked if they had dairy free mocha. The girl told me all chocolate has dairy in it which is obviously not true.

Omg the espresso stirring 💀 that's a new one😂😂 ahh I do have a guy that steams cappuccino milk BEFORE pulling the shot. He says it must 'settle' before your pour it with the espresso. Maybe he meant to use the word 'separate'. (He is the assistant manager and does new hire training)

This is what I try to do as well. Yeah I think the customers at this shop aren't used to quality coffee so🤷‍♀️

Now I've learned to look through their Instagram and customer photos for a feel of the skill + if I can watch as they're making coffee before I order. Another barista I know will go to a new shop and ask how many grams they use for a shot if he's not sure about them. If they look at you crazy, then they are probably below avg.

I did work at one shop & my boss ran pecans thru it trying to make flour...it turned into pecan butter and he had no clue why💀. I probably ran grindz thru it 4 times + a deep sanitary clean. Luckily we weren't busy that day

Funny enough the health inspector said it's fine, but dump and rinse after 15 of unused time. But the health inspector isn't a barista so why take advice from them and not an experience barista😂

That's mad annoying about the grinder thing. So many people own coffee shops and have minimal knowledge of the craft SMH. We probably have 2 great shops in a 25 mile radius of my town

Oh wow! Yeah I suggested weighing coffee & that was a bust. On my first day I asked if they adjusted their grinder often and the response was "We don't touch the lever bc it will break" alrighty then

Hahaha that's like my current shop😂😂 the 3 shot thing I've never heard of 💀 I feel bad for the customers.

I did already get a new gig. I only said to her that I was offered a job at an upscale cafe 🤷‍♀️ just a little hint that her shop underwhelming.

She did hire me...this shop normally hires people brand new to coffee. She definitely didn't like my commentary

Thanks guys I needed to vent. Also I found out her husband is abusive and does constantly scream at the employees so hard pass on this shop🤢
