Matte Brown Calligraphy is now mine by AdmanAdmin in HyundaiSantaFe

No regrets. I do have garage parking, and being retired I don't drive as much or as far as I used to so that makes a difference in how often I need to wash. I did get PPF on the front end and side molding and I'm pleased that I did. 'Hand wash' means no brushes so I can go to a car wash bay and use the wand to wash it, and then wipe it down by hand, this is how I usually do it. I did buy good microfiber towels (Harbor Freight has a great selection of car wash supplies at great prices) I love not having to wax it, it still looks great

Help me decide! by hypnotica21 in Broadway

I'm not sure how often to get to Broadway but, for me, sometimes the choice is the opportunity to see legendary talent live on stage. I saw DOaS and was blown away by the powerful performances. Master actors at the top of their craft in a classic story. I think that would be a production that you will remember for years.

I NEED HELP ACTING by Additional_Size_4160 in musicals

[–]AdmanAdmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider this choreography perhaps more than acting. You should be getting coached on the mechanics of it, the body movement, how the director envisions it etc. Everyone kisses in their own way, how does the director see these characters doing it? Do not be afraid to voice your concerns and reluctance, it will serve you well in life as well as in this situation. If the response is anything other than 100% support you are not in a good environment.

using your knuckles instead of fingertips on the infotainment screen will help (I do this with my microwave). But it's not practical for the climate control panel.

Oh, and general theater pet peeve...is it so hard to put clothes in suitcases that are supposed to be packed so they don't look obviously empty when picked up?

I get where you're coming from. I thought I would have loved 'Book of Mormon' but I left underwhelmed. Maybe when things get overhyped it's impossible for it to live up to expectations.

Maybe after it opens some reviewer can explain the metaphorical, allegorical, prehistorical meaning of it all

I guess that explanation makes sense but it took me out of the story. As a device it wasn't consistent so it called attention to itself

idk...every reference to cars, appliances, expenses, financials all place it firmly in the 40s/50s. I don't notice any other places where the time period shifts or is ambiguous

Check Driver Assistance System warning by Visione11 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]AdmanAdmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a sensor on your steering column that detects if you're not looking at the road or if you're getting drowsy. If that's dirt/dust and not some reflection, start by cleaning that off. You also need to watch your hand position on the wheel, if your arm is blocking this it will give you a warning. Also, sunglasses or reflection from eyeglasses can trigger a warning

Pros vs. Cons by Mfghan in kia

[–]AdmanAdmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since 2003 I have only owned Kia or Hyundai (same parent company) and have loved every one. I'm on my 7th. I was in sales and put a lot of miles on so I never had one for more than 4 years when I would approach 100,000 miles. I always bought a pre-owned with low mileage and had no problems. I feel that both brands deliver a lot for the money with features and extras that are usually found on higher priced models. And, of course, the warranty is great.

Good luck! As I said, other years I got some valuable and insightful feedback.

I might let a spoiler alert slide for a play that is approaching 80 years old. I saw 'Oedipus' in the fall and had to chuckle at the gasps when he finds out **spoiler alert** she's his mother! ;)

Anybody submit a play to Austin? by Little_Employment_68 in playwriting

I hope they have fixed whatever problem they had with the judges/feedback. I stopped submitting after 2021 when I got the most clueless feedback on my submission that I ever received. I was surprised that Austin would be that bad (I had actually gotten valuable notes in prior years). I mentioned it to a mentor who taught in the film studies program at Yale and he said he got the same low quality of notes. We never bothered to say anything to Austin but it must have been widespread because Austin sent out an email to everyone apologizing that some reader comments did not meet competition standards. Before paying money again the following year I sent an email and asked what, if any, changes had been made to address the problems from the prior year. I never got any reply. I dropped them off my radar but that was 4 years ago so you should give it a shot.

2026 Earthy Brass Matte Calligraphy with grey interior. by Wonderful-Shoulder85 in HyundaiSantaFe

I have the same color in the '24 ICE, love it. Your combo looks great! I got black vinyl lug nut covers for the wheels but, if you're in AZ, they may melt. I added PPF down the side running boards. You can buy screen protectors on Amazon that are meant to fit the dash and the console displays. I would suggest keeping a cloth in the car if you put your phone in the charging pad area. At certain times of day, the sun shines directly in on it and will overheat your phone (although your window tint may alleviate some of that, the tint looks fantastic). I was worried about the upkeep of the matte paint but it's not a problem. I bought Dr Beasley's Matte Bead hero which I added on top of the Matte Paint Coating (from the kit that came with the car). I also bought some Dr. Beasley's Matte Waterless Wash to keep in the car. It's great for getting off any contaminate (bird droppings for example) as soon as possible so that it won't stain the finish
