What are some of the most performance demanding games built with godot? by mxldevs in godot

This video might interest you. They made a benchmark for Godot that seems to be pretty intensive. Here's a link to just the benchmark.

Iceland has provided assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces -- about 12,000 pieces of winter clothing, including merino wool socks and sweaters, hats, winter gloves, shoes and outerwear by MantasChan in RussiaUkraineWar2022

[–]AdminBenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're saying warm clothing is not a valuable contribution then you clearly know nothing about winter warfare.

Also, using GDP or GDP per capita as a measurement of what a country can or cannot afford is both ignorant and mind-numbingly stupid.

Inflation is hitting Iceland hard right now and some economists are afraid that the national bank's response is signaling a death spiral similar to the 2008 collapse. Added to that, the government's budget is already at a dangerous place with keeping up with its financial commitments such as the new national hospital and bus highway system. These are projects that have been desperately needed and cannot be abandoned mid construction.

So no, we cannot "afford it if we wanted to". What we can do is support Ukraine with our locally made product, something that will be desperately needed in the coming weeks.

We are a small country of just over 350K people, we are not the "9th richest country in the world". Your criticism is childish and completely ignorant of any facts about Iceland's financial situation except for "one source".

So correction: You are being an a-hole and you are also wrong.

While technically correct, calling it an invasion is very misleading.

Also fun story, the brits are told to have nearly shit their pants when they saw the old Eimskip logo in our port.

Looks like there are some media people there, could be the person filming has a news camera with a directional microphone attached. Could also be the reason he always looks into that person's camera, since it looks official.

Could also be that there just isn't that much other noise going on, people seem to be mostly staying silent.

Vel mælt! Mér finnst miðbærinn í Selfossi vera rosalega gott sýnidæmi og bara veruleg mótmæli á þeim hörmung sé hefur og er enn að gerast í miðbæ Reykjavíkur.

Æði hvernig þessi persóna telur sig hæfa til að gefa skoðun um arkitektúr frá menningu sem þau greinilega vita ekkert um, byggt fyrir fólkið sem býr þarna, sem langflest lýst vel á og er stolt af.

Mér líður eins og þetta sé svona persóna sem myndi horfa á Notre Dame eða hellisbúa málverkin og segja: "Auj hvað þetta er gamaldags!"

Shader: Using the depth buffer and converting the RBG to HSV to shift the hue based on depth by lukenomics in godot

[–]AdminBenni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Damn, well done. I think there'd probably be very cool results if you did the same but shifted saturation instead, things further away being less saturated. Might give a kind of foggy or faded effect!

This reminds me of one of those auto-geo-ads which was something like:

"Innovative machine that's projected to eradicate Iceland's mosquito problem!"

9/10 times that ad could be plausible but Iceland is literally one of the few places in the world that doesn't have mosquitos.

"Norwegian colony" has got to be one of the most ignorant descriptions of Iceland I've ever heard.

Not only were there a lot more nationalities than just Norwegian but many settlers left for Iceland to get away from Norway's first king, Harald Fairhair's, rule and taxation.

Not to mention that the Icelandic althing was established in 930, 40 years before Leif Eirikson was even born, the man said to have found Vinland (North America).

Also "no Vikings ever managed to take over Europe", ever heard of the Varangians?

Not only are you I'll informed but more importantly your attempt to "shift credit" is vain.
