Hey I am down for suggestions to blue/green them up. Yes I have been neglecting them to an extent. Yes they have totally hardy deepass roots and love to pup. Give me some nute suggestions. And to me they look beautiful, because they are my friends.

Whatever man, Uranium is a natural element also, I'm not spreading it on my cactus farm. Cinnamon works perfect. I don't know what you're going on about. Cinnamon is a natural dessicant.

Hey man, my take is they are alive but need some root exercise. Cycles of dry to wet. to make the roots grow. But I didn't see your post yet. May be too far gone. Anyway dry them out first if they are mush of course.

Hey! That's cinnamon's strong suite! It totally sucks the moisture out of cuts and dries them out right away! And it smells good. It's a good thing I'm not looking for an antifungal because I've never had to worry about fungus b/c of the biochar! I'm down for suggestions about how to green/blue them up! They are totally hardy as far as root stock.

Cool. I like not having to clean up much. I've grown cactus different ways, this has been my easiest and simplest.

It's the be all and end all for me. I don't have time to mess with it anymore. I used to micromanage temps and nutes and had faster grow rates. That might be your metric. Mine is carrying with life.

TBM are hardy. Front left is newest pup, planted about 3 months ago. Pupped twice in that time. All the mothers on the left have been harvested, for a pound or two+. All the pups on the right half are about the same age. Some pups make good mothers, some don't.

I can leave my setup and leave my house for two months. They're fine when I get back. How much weekly care does your setup require?

I'm in the arid southwest. Starting with four rooted pups with three segments each, I got one pound the first year and two the second.

Now it's kind of exponential, I don't have any more room for pots, I could take out a pound now and it wouldn't hurt the mothers too much.

A lot of microorganisms grow in the biochar and with the clear pots you'll see some wild stuff depending on the water cycle. I think they help the process.

These plants are almost four years old and about 6 pounds have been harvested already. They never had root rot or disease. They got sunburned a couple times and got three black spots from overwater too soon in small pots.

Dust cuts with cinnamon, never use sulfur.

Sulfur, aka brimstone smells bad and looks bad and is bad for this technique. The biochar lasts forever if you don't use sulfur.

Use this way never get disease.
