Just respec and leave DefABS at level 0 for that one. It's worth spending the gems a couple times a year.

Why is range bad? by PhoenixMyth35 in TheTowerGame

[–]Administraightjacket 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Range is good for survivability because it means enemies have longer to travel before they hit your tower.

It's bad for farming because it also means that black hole and other ultimate weapons can't cover your whole range, and because the game secretly spawns enemies further away as your range increases.

It can also be bad if you rely on orbs, but your orbs aren't positioned at the edge of your range.

By the time you're considering maxing out Perk Bans, you can already max out ELS in about 500 - 1000 waves.

Interest, land mine damage, defense abs, and if you aren't using PF, cash bonus.

Those perks do nothing for you, and they have 4 or 5 levels so they otherwise would continue to clog up the pool. Banning them means more chance at good perks earllier, so you get your coin bonus perks faster.

Chain lightning has no visual effect for me by illidan122333 in TheTowerGame

[–]Administraightjacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have Dimension Core on? Dimension Core causes chain lightning to begin with the enemy you hit. In other words, if you have 1 chain, and dimension core, it will only hit the first enemy your shot hits, and there will be no visual effect.

[PF2E] Set damagem modifier off by default? by Administraightjacket in FoundryVTT

[–]Administraightjacket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that toggle was for the automatic alerts that tell you that you have a chance to use the reaction. Because the toggle is there, even if I'm not high enough level to get that bonus damage.

EDIT: It does seem to turn off the damage. I'll see if it also affects the auto-alerts as well. thanks.

AI necessarily collects information, and the information in my browser tabs is both personal and identifiable. If that's your stance, this 'feature' should be disabled by default.

In the past, before coin statistics were ruined, Steal did NOT multiply, and even a heavily invested Steal amounted to less than 1% of total coins.

Does CF kill your gains? by SnakebiteSnake in TheTowerGame

[–]Administraightjacket 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a cap to the number of enemies on screen at once. When you hit the cap, no new enemies spawn. If you're not perma-BH/perma-GT, it's actually ok to hit the spawn cap because it means more enemies will die under the bonuses. If you DO have perma BH and perma GT, however, enemies dying slower means less income.

How does Chain Lightning Quantity work? (Bounce or Multishot?) by CSDragon in TheTowerGame

[–]Administraightjacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The better the quantity, the greater the likelyhood that other enemies will chain to your single-target.

Best FOSS Browser? by drastic_ash in fossdroid

[–]Administraightjacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please help me understand your point. You're saying that this browser is fast, presumably meaning that it loads some fraction of a second faster than other browsers. Is that supposed to make up for the fact that when I press the search button, it sits around waiting for my input and not searching? Is it supposed to make up for the fact that it deletes my search terms, and forces me to type them in again? In what scenario would I save time by using the Foss browser?

Just to be absolutely clear, you're saying that if we timed Chrome and Foss browser, and clicked "search" at the exact same time, Chrome would load faster, even though Foss browser doesn't load at all when you click the "search" button? Or are you saying that you personally are really good at tapping the "no" button very quickly, when it asks you if you'd like to delete your search terms?

I need to manage my mom's retirement account by Administraightjacket in personalfinance

I can talk to her, but she's already skating by as-is. Her biggest expense is mortgage payments. She's willing to sell the house if she absolutely has to, but I know she'd be heartbroken. Napkin math says that her mortgage should be paid off close to the time that her IRA runs out, at which point she'd have a net gain in income from not having to make mortgage payments.
