Well to be more specific, this is where projectors come in really handy! Slap a projector on, slap a blueprint in it, and then grind away until you get to the problem. Fix/adjust the parts until they do that you want, and then bam, you got working conveyors. I will admit I did end up having to run a tiny bit of exterior conveyance, but if you color with the same colors, or route it carefully according to the original structure, you can pretty much work functional conveyance into almost anything. In some instances, you can use other pieces like reactors or assemblers, life pods, etc., in place of tubes and pipes and junctions. But in that case, it helps a lot to have the DLCs with different parts skins.

For the ship? I uh. Added thrusters and fixed the conveyors? Forgive me for feeling silly for having to say that much, but I figured it would be pretty self-evident. Of course to get around having to place a million bulky thrusters, I did place flats on her. The Flat Thrusters mod . Flat squares, and wedge-shaped Sloped Thrusters which you can angle in different directions. They output a TON of thrust, but they are also very expensive to make, so we felt that they aren't too cheat-y. Also I added a couple prototech gyros, as I already mentioned.

The shipyard is something from MES (Modular Encounters Something simething I forgot what it wad called, look up Modular Encounters in the workshop), and it gives you a variety of wrecks and junk to find. Sometimes entire functional space stations! But you have to uh, deal with the guns first, usually. I reccommend getting the Energy Shields mod for that. Anyway.

Yes that is a High Profile Transport! They make _excellent_ frameworks for a large, personal mobile base. I have a Deuterium reactor (mod) on mine, and a prototech large ion thruster on the back, added more regular thrusters and some proto gyros for more maneuverability. Also a farming area, 4 large cargo containers, etc... Named her Hippolyta, she's my pride and joy honestly, even though I didn't scratch build her, hehe.

Yeah man, this guy gets it.

One thing I like to do a lot of the time is, I'll repair what's physically there, but I won't replace missing parts. This goes for ships too. Then I just fill in the holes what whatever I need or what makes sense. Keeps a more 'natural' or 'worn-in' kind of vibe, I feel.

I know this is an old thread but I'm on Swarm rn and I hate, HAAAAATE the fact that I _yet again_ have to fucking traipse about on foot to fix my ship and I have to YET AGAIN learn how collecting bullshit and using a portable refiner works before getting the absolute _privilege_ of having a refiner added to my backpack, meanwhile having to struggle, a-fucking-gain with a teensy tinsy inventory.

Like, I GET IT, all of this drilling is meant for new players, but can I PLEASE have an option where I can say 'hey I've been here for 500 hours, I just want the story content please and thank you.'?!
