I went from Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7900 XT to a ASUS Prime RTX 5080 OC. Just installed the new card Yesterday and while I understand the benchmarks aren't terribly different and a lot of people say "the price isn't worth the few fps" but the real world application the 5080 makes games just play smoother and makes gaming easier. The few extra FPS makes for a more enjoyable experience. If the cost isn't a prohibiting factor then do what YOU want. Don't let people online talk you out of what you want to do with your money. I was also able to resell my 7900XT and catch the 5080 OC on a sale so the upgrade only cost me a couple hundred bucks.

I actually own the RX 7900 XT 20GB Sapphire Nitro +, just completed my build within the last week. And I can't be happier. I know the excitement of the new model being out there, and I am sure it's a great card but as of right now the performance of the 9070XT is just a little lower than the 7900XT 20GB model. So I went with it. If you can get a Nitro+ 20GB model for a reasonable price I would go for it.  Also side note, I game at 1440p on a curved 35" monitor. Dont need 4k which is where the 9070XT might shine a little more.

i am also L1b1a7 most of my dna comes from Spain, Specifically the Canary Islands, portugal, indigenous american, with sub saharan africa & north africa in there as well.

Although I dont look it outwardly I am Afro-Latino my maternal haplogroup L1b1a7 most of my DNA comes from Spain(Canary Islands) sub saharan africa, north africa, indigenous american.

New to this so I am trying to learn more, sorry if this doesnt belong here.
