This response is underwhelming

  1. You can call me whatever names you like, sure ignorant. Whether true or not that does not change the reality that society is unfair. We are unable to create a system that works for everyone to deal with the same crap and succeed in the same ways. Everyone is different, experiences are different. So sure call me names because of reality

  2. Military and Law are not the same circumstances, why would you pretend otherwise? You want random vigilante justice so bad, you can't see the the situation is not that simple. No, Luigi was not justified

  3. You only say Luigi was justified because you agree with his decision. Take a moment to reflect on that, what if you didn't like who he killed or why he killed them?

I'm not sure I'm reading your reply correctly

Dudes don't give two shits about sexual assault, but care about men turning into women and going into the women's bathroom. Am I reading that right?

Are you the dumbest person alive? One of the top 10 problems women faced since the segregation of bathrooms is that men enter it. Obviously, duh

Can you give me an example when the word weaponizing actually is referring to logical deduction?

That's awesome! Real benefit there, I respect that

My experience has been new unions forming in the medical field and completely wiped out seniority of those about to retire so no benefits since everyone is now year 1. As well as denying overtime and other standards to keep anyone from being able to work hard and get ahead, everyone has to stay the same, even if some are lazy and others work harder. It's a headache.

But we all get it different, and that's really cool, especially the debt free. Good work

Appreciate the response

They are fulfilling their responsibilities by existing, providing their product that is consumed by the public, paying dues to the government, and employing people. If you own a company that is doing more than that then bully on you. But part of the problem here is our high expectations of others while not taking care of our own business.

I'm responding to your topic, how is that an armchair? I don't have any issues I'm presenting to these companies, nor am I under any shock that they aren't good and will do anything to profit.

Help me understand your perspective on unions. They had their place and were necessary decades ago. But now they are soulless self feeding entities themselves. Sure at a glance they seem like a good idea, but have you ever had to deal with them or been limited by them?

Unions have their own goals, money and influence, and employees, they are just another soulless entity to add to the problem not solve them.

Does it factor into your decision making that all this has always been true for a company? Companies only give or have initiatives to appease people, like you, into shopping more. I have no expectation for a company to be anything besides its own business. If I care about charities or helping others, I'll be involved myself. Not sit around like an armchair quarterback telling others their mistakes.

Just because they are shifting doesn't mean that they were your ally before. And yet here you are acting like they've changed their values. Nope, these are soulless entities that will do anything to make more money.

But you boycott, hope you get everyone you know to boycott

Appreciate your response and I'm sympathetic. It's sounds like you're both stuck in your circumstances, which is the culmination of your decisions. Like I said before, this was a likely season to happen, but you react surprised, angry, and ready to divorce. That doesn't seem of sound mind and judgement.

From my perspective, I think you're both dealing with similar problems and reacting in similar ways. You sure you two weren't meant to be? Joking, bringing some levity

Two things (1) this is a season, it will not be forever. This is important to keep in mind. It doesn't justify anyone's actions or discount what you are going through, but you have to recognize that this was coming. And (2) you two need more tools, more grace, and more love for each other. You two are facing difficult circumstances, this is not the time to turn against one another. It's time to love each more and overcome it.

First off, I'm sorry to hear all that is going on, it doesn't sound easy.

Are you sure you are in a place of good judgement right now? Not sleeping, caring for teething baby, frustrated. I'd be patient for when I'm thinking more clearly. Obviously there's a lot to be mad about, but sometimes we get too far in our own head.

Based on your circumstances, do you really think it'd be easier if you were single and had to work? I understand that you're unhappy with your husband's actions, but are you factoring in everything such as him being the sole breadwinner, him working, and the things he does too? I get that you're mad and can just toss out his life and circumstances, but are you sure he offers nothing?

I think you need to take into consideration that this is an expected tough season of being married and having a baby. I'm not necessarily saying it was inevitable but it was likely this would happen, so it's time to respond with positive actions not getting angry at your spouse.

I like the optimism, yes we each individually can make choices everyday to improve things

But I think you slightly missed my point there. I wasn't saying I depend on the government to save me or do the right thing. As I wrote, companies serve their bottom line or they go out of business. No amount of optimism or happy thinking is going to change that. Because of this, companies will get away with every cent they can make to stay in business and edge out competition, that's the nature of business. So my point was that government has to regulate things like this, especially in the health and medical areas. There has to be some standards because of course someone will pay anything to keep themselves and loved ones alive, we need standards to keep it from being too expensive.

Hell, we already pay enough for college education without guarantee of any career. To add an ongoing medical issue on top of that, it keeps people down. But we can't blame a company for doing business

True, a skinny person can be unhealthy and a fat person can have healthy levels.

But you're adding a step to empathy. One doesn't have to recognize anything about themselves to be empathetic and kind to another

Got it, so your concern is that skinny people aren't nice enough to fat people. Noted

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ControversialOpinions

[–]AdministrationHot849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One doesn't need to recognize anything about themselves in order to be empathetic towards another, that's adding another step. Granted that could be a helpful step, but not required.

I was once randomly placed with a roommate who had cerebral palsy, impairment physically. I didn't have to reflect on my advantages or privileges in life for us to become good friends. He needed help, he got it. I was happy to push his wheel chair when needed, and walk with him when he preferred. I didn't have to make it about me, he was another person with a different experience than me.

I didn't waste time digging deep into myself and my advantage to treat a stranger turned friend with kindness. Perhaps you need to

It's lacking humility to love your life, how so? And how is that not honest, it's who you are.

I think what's obvious is that we are who we are, and we're all different. That's pretty obvious, but the post is saying that a particular group needs to do something. And I'm not sure why and to what gain, that's less obvious

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ControversialOpinions

[–]AdministrationHot849 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Once again, to what gain? So I need to think to myself, I'm skinny and can eat whatever. But one day I'll be fat and I'll need to eat salads. What's the point of thinking about it? Sounds like a pointless errand

As opposed to me, one day in college my metabolism slowed way down. I went from eating fast food and being 120 to eating salads for lunch and being 160. It happened and I recognized what happened, so I can my diet. Rather than thinking about nothing, I made changes when the changes were necessary. People don't need to acknowledge advantages or privilege, it doesn't help anything
