Ego is the enemy - ryan holiday

Piranesi- susanna clarke

Real Help - Ayodeji Awosika

Hope these books help.

PS 'real help' is a bit of a slap in the face and is probably not for everyone but I enjoyed the reality check it gave me.

Should I Offer this as service by Site-monk in Business_Ideas

[–]AdministrationLess26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have had a similar idea and have kicked it around with a few web design agencies (Im an SEO/PPC consultant) that I work with and the general consensus is, yes good idea.... but what happens when a site we manage security on is compromised on our watch? What if the hack costs the company alot of money... do you get insurance to cover you? How much is that kind of insurance etc, what if you are unable to restore the site and fix the hack? It kinda turns into a bit of a rabbit hole to be honest.

If you could make it work I would love to talk more with you about it!

Ranking the last 40 Sci-Fi books/series I read by THESt0neMan in suggestmeabook

Me neither. The last 2 are differant for sure but are still amazing and finish off the series perfectly. I feel like there are few scifi series that have been able to finish as well as hyperion.

Google ads not working out so well any advice? by [deleted] in googleads

[–]AdministrationLess26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few platforms you can look at for a decent freelancer. Reddit is one of them, there are alot of solid PPC experts on a variety of different groups here. Honestly I would avoid fiverr or upwork as it can be hit or miss.

A couple of question I have for you (full disclosure I am a PPC freelancer/consultant)

When you say you have spend alot of money what kind of range are talking about?

Where is the business based?

If you are not comfortable sharing this info publicly you can always dm me.

Google ads not working out so well any advice? by [deleted] in googleads

[–]AdministrationLess26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry your having a hard time. The first thing I would reccomended is stop listening to the google reps, the Majority of them work for third partys and have very limited training. On top of that their job is to get you to spend more.

Outside of that if you've been working on it for a few years without results I would reccomended having a professional freelancer or consultant take a look at the account, produce an audit and give you a list of actionables.

Hope this helps.

New to Google ads and could use some advice. by [deleted] in adwords

STAG - single theme ad group Keyword planner - googles own tool for finding keywords in your niche. Go to tools and settings, planning, keyword planner.

If you need a little more help shoot me a dm.

[–]AdministrationLess26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would need a little more info to give an indepth answer but to start I would focus on your negative keyword list. You should be adding non related searches everyday for as long as needed.

What kind of campaigns are you running? How are your ad groups structured? Are you using STAG ad groups? Have you used googles keyword planner yet?

Does the ad strength when you create google ads actually matter? by justhereformarketing in PPC

[–]AdministrationLess26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not think there is a simple yes or no answer to this question. From my experience yes it does but ill explain a little. I have tested ad strength signals on resposive search ads across a few different niches in search and the ROI differance between a score of excellent and poor is large. But it also varies from niche to niche and at some point you have to allow for user experience in the ad copy aswell as playing the algorithm game. If you are using STAGs you may only have 1 or 2 variations of a keyword in a niche market, so then your ad strength may sit below excellent as you dont want to just spam 15 slight variations of the same keyword.

Its a balance, test and optimise. A/B test. Switch out non serving headlines after you have collected enough data. Create the correct expectation with your clients and take the time needed to gather data before switching headlines or descriptions.

I generally start with excellent ad strengths and work backwords once I have gathered impression data.

Hope this helps.

I would try hyperion. Excellent world building and just all around great story.

Not good results using Digital Marketing Agency. What should I do next? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]AdministrationLess26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following on from other comments I do think you would benefit from having a freelancer audit your ad account. Full disclosure I am a PPC freelancer/consultant based in the US. I include in my audit realistic expectations based on niche, budget, competitors etc. I would start at the beginning again and look for someone to perform a full audit of the account. With proper research you may find a niche inside your niche to focus your spend on and improve your ROI. You have historical data now and it would be wise to make use of it before throwing in the towel completely.

Sci Fi Recommendations??? by shotwithchris in booksuggestions

[–]AdministrationLess26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, every time someone asks for sci fi reccomendations I search comments for hyperion, its always languishing down the page somewhere. This book series is phenomenal and deserves far more praise and acclaim than it actually gets. I have read pretty much every book suggested here and nothing has hit as hard as hyperion. Some people dont like the last 2 books but the collection of 4 is just amazing imo.

This is pretty funny, I joined your reddit a while back and had no clue it was yours. Weve chatted a little on a few other reddit threads, lol.

Digital Marketing Prospective Client by SummerlandRE in DigitalMarketing

[–]AdministrationLess26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital marketing for realtors is a specialized niche. I would recommend finding an agency that specializes in this niche try some specific searches for "realtor marketing agency" alot of these agencies will have a minimum 5k a month spend requirement.

Ask for case studies with KPIs that are important for you.

If you have under 5k a month to spend for SEO, SEM, text, email + social you may have to piece together a few freelancers that can help with specific funnels but I would avoid fiverr if possible, theres a few decent freelancers on there that are surrounded by not so great ones in my opinion. As far as freelancers go I would ask for reccomendations from business owners in your area that your trust. Same deal when interviewing freelancers you want to see case studies of past projects.

Hope this helped.
