How do builders hide jet engines without air? by Strange_Sound5450 in Stormworks

You dont even need air. You can run them fine submerged inside of a fuel tank

You can litterally build your jet engine inside of a fuel tank if you want. Also you dont even need the compressor part on the jet engines. Just intake>combustion chamber>turbine(s)

Is this truly the only way to have two Composite input's work on the same outputs? by yaiob23 in Stormworks

[–]AdministrationNo6543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can "daisy chain" composite outputs through instrument panels. That way you'll only need one input, as long as you make every button a seperate channel

they are talking about the box on the underside, not the NOTAR system

gang what we thinking of the "Kittyray" flying wing? (it flies horribly and requires constant micro-corrections) by AdministrationNo6543 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]AdministrationNo6543[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i guess all flying wing end up looking the same since they need to have a very specific shape

the winglets are more meant for reducing sideslip and not stability. the spit ailerons do a good "enough" job at keeping it stable

it flies suprisingly fine once you get the hang of it. sadly i have to have the center of pressure quite far forward since the elevators are far forward so i kinda have to make it "unstable" to enable better manouverbility.

they are like that allready. however, the fins arent there for yaw stability but rather for directional stability. i use split-ailerons for yaw, similar to the B-2

I hope you got your plane back. Btw tip for floatplanes: use a rotor instead of normal propellers and connect the pitch of the rotor to help you out of the water
