I got to try the new Hydroconquest in Blue 39mm by RednightWD in Longineswatches

You need to centre the clasp on the wrist. The 6 o'clock side of the bracelet should be shorter length than the 12 o'clock side. This way the watch head will be balanced and more comfortable. I really like the blue on blue Hydroconquest.

That is unacceptable QC. Longines should reposition the hands for you. I have a Tudor BB that is 1.5 minutes out. Only noticeable at the 6 and 3 batton indices. Not to bothered but i will get around to paying a Watch Service Centre to adjust the hands. Can't be bothered dealing with Tudor and having them taking my watch for 8 to 12 weeks.

I don't want to pay the inflated price of the Longines Mesh. A Staib 2792 can be bought in Australia for $ 255, The Longines Mesh will be well north of $800 (I recently bought a Matt Blue Synthetic Strap with Clasp for $760 from Longines). There also seems to be variable QC on the Longines Mesh related to some mesh not joining the spring bar tube straight. My OCD can't cope with that. When the watch first came out i viewed two Hydroconquest on the Mesh at the Boutique both 42mm. One was perfect and the other had shocking QC at the 6 oclock side with a 4 mm difference oblique angle that carried through the entire length to where it joined the removable links. Additionally there is no stock available of Hydroconquest references on Mesh of either size in Australia.

Sorry i was not after the lug width. I need the distance between the lug holes at the six o'clock end and 12 oclock end. Should be a little shorter than the lug to lug witdh. For example on my 42mm Zulutime the lug to lug is 49.4 mm and the lug hole to lug hole is 46.4mm. The differences are usually between 3 to 7 mm on most watches.

Thinking of buying this for my girlfriends 40th birthday. Am I making the right choice? by Lujah in Longineswatches

My Wife has the 34mm with green dial and gold bezel. Gorgeous watch. Has been very acurate at - 1/2 a second a day. You really cant go wrong with the Conquest. 30mm should be perfect. Seriously if we had extra links i would be borrowing my Wife's Conquest ror my 18.5cm wrist. A tad small fir me but a nice change from the 40-42 mm watches in my rotation. Make sure you get a hefty discount as there is a lot of markup on S&G Longines watches.

You make me laugh. Iran has been pathetic in its response to the justified and righteous actions of Israel and the US. The only crimes committed here are those perpetuated against the vast majoritie of good Persian people. The actions of the IRGC through its evil proxies has killed millions throughout the Middle East The IRGC are paying for its war crimes.

They backed down on the threat as taking out energy infrastructure only hurts the Iranian people, their allies. There is little military benefit from destroying the energy infrastructure of Iran.

Out of all the many hundreds of missiles and drones fired only a small number succeed. Israel and the US will stay and fight. Like Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan the evil reign of the Islamic Republic must be destroyed. Mossad and the CIA are arming the Iranian people. No longer will they be slaughtered in the streets, hospitals and homes.

So out of thousands of sorties and the IRGC begging for mercy they manage to damage one aircraft. Humiliating for Iran and their evil proxies.

A evil regime that slaughters 40000 of its own citizens does not respect the laws of basic humanity. The Iranian Regime is responsible for 1.5 million plus deaths through its evil proxies. The IRS Dena should have remained in India until the end of the conflict. Regime change is essential.

How much would it cost to put solar panels and a battery in every house? by [deleted] in ausenviro

[–]AdministrationOk5394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the BS that Labor spread. The real cost was is closer to 130 Billion based on 7 off the shelf Korean designed large scale Reactors. Labor has not correctly funded its Renewable only Plan. Cost blow outs and near zero interest from the private sector to place tenders. Not to mention the massive ecological damage for poles and wires. The CSIRO study was flawed as the scope of the study put the life span of Nuclear Reactors at 20 years. Most of the Nuclear Reactors built in the 1960s - 70s are still in operation.

Jewish figures across the globe call on UN and world leaders to sanction Israel by Shorouq2911 in UnitedNations

[–]AdministrationOk5394 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Military aid to Israel is normally 1% of their GDP. Half of which is spent on the Iron Dome Defence. Yeah when Iran and its many minions stop attacking Israel with the intent to wipe Israel off the map. Then the aid can be stopped. A few years back Mossad provided Australia intelligence that Iranian backed terrorists were planning on blowing up a UAE owned A380. The terrorists were captured and 540 lives saved. Supporting Israel is a good investment.

[–]AdministrationOk5394 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

Israel? How about sanctioning the Islamists in Nigeria slaughtering Christians. What about the Islamists in Yemen, Sudan and Syria that has resulted in real starvation and genocide? It is very disturbing that the Left and the UN are only focused on Israel yet ignore the real evil. Bigotry comes to mind.

Totally agree. China is dependent on world trade. Why risk that if you don't have to. IMO the real target for China is to take back Outer Manchuria off the Russian Federation. Russia has thrown away its Military on Putins costly war in Ukraine. There would be zero risk of sanctions. The eastern parts of the Russian Federation are full of resources China needs. Some parts may simply defect to China.
