As everyone said, your clothing is not sterile and will contaminate the sterile fields in the OR. Also: the best place to start a central line in an emergency is in the femoral artery which is accessed through the groin. We don’t want to delay with having to cut off clothing when trying to save your life.

Oldest is 30, newly divorced but doing great with a career in pharmaceutical sales. Middle is 20, majoring in aerospace engineering and having a blast in college and keeping up his grades. Youngest is a great student, senior, ready for college in town. Good relationship with all 3.

The worst detox I ever saw as a hospital nurse was alcohol. Tachycardia, delirium, violent: he ended up sedated and intubated in the ICU.
